Good AFTERNOON everyone.

I am teacher Daniela and I

will be your English teacher for today. "Before we begin
the lesson this afternoon, let us ask the guidance of
almighty God and let us enlighten our mind to
completely understand the lesson this afternoon."
(Students bow their heads and listen to the prayer
presented by their teacher.)
"Good afternoon, class!" "Good afternoon, ma'am!"
"So, how's your day? Is it good so far?" "Yes, ma'am"
"That's good to know. "Does it mean that I can expect all
of your active participation? Is that an agreement?" "Yes,
ma'am"
But before we begin our class, I want to remind you with
our virtual class rules.
Keep your cameras ON.
Set your microphone to mute.
Raise the hand button if you want to recite
Listen carefully to teacher Rogie. Is that clear?
But before that. Kindly go to your step account for your
attendance.
So now let's begin with a simple activity. This is what you
call charades. I know all of you are already familiar with
this. But, this is a bit different since we are in an online
setting.
So here is the instruction, I will divide you into 3 groups
and each group will have a leader. The leader will act the
word or phrase they've chosen in front of the other
players. The members will rename their names into
player 1 to 3 and then they will guess according to their
number. Each group will only have 2 minutes. The group
who will get higher points wins. Okay?
Also each member only have 2 passes.
Are we clear with the instruction?

"Yes, ma'am"
So now that you've already seen your groups kindly
rename now your names into player 1,player 2, and 3
So now lets begin.
So the first group will be

Group 1 Group 2 Group 3

Mark justen- Group leader Pauline leader Stephanie

leader
Beverly -P1 Lency Argeil
Heide -P2
Mariella -P3 Precious
Janelle Princess
Maryjane

Mark justen you may now begin.

(After the game)
(Exploration)
Did have fun with your activity? I hope you enjoy.
Yes, ma'am.
Okay. So now, I have a question for you.
On the activity that you did. Did you find it difficult?
"Yes ma'am.
Why?

: because the leader and the member didn't understand

each other.

Okay. How about the others?

Princess: because the sender and the receiver didn't have
a good communication because the sender is in mute.
Hm okay. So in order to successfully communicate it is
important to know how the process works. How does
communication improve teamwork? When team
members can communicate effectively with each other,
they will be able to collaborate well and work together to
reach a common goal more efficiently. Good
communication within a team allows for the better
exchange of ideas, execution of projects, and
cooperation amongst team members.

Did you understand? "yes, ma'am"

I know you already have guesses what will be our topic
for today.
So now lets move now move on.

I have here a short video clip. I want you to watch it

carefully, because I will ask you some questions later."
Okay?
"Yes ma'am"

(EXPLANATION)
(The teacher plays the video.)
"In the video clip that you've watched, do you think they
have effective communication? What do you think is the
reason why they didn't understand each other? To have
effective communication, what are the processes that
they should follow?"

"For us to know the answers to these questions, let us

first define what communication is?"
(Ms. Bugarin, can you please read the meaning of
communication.)
"Ms. Bugarin, in your own words, can you tell me what
communication is all about?"
Communication is simply the act of transferring
information from one place person or group to another."
"Very good!"

"Communication is a process of sharing and conveying

messages or information from one person to another
within and across channels, contexts, media, and
cultures" "There is a wide variety of contexts and
situations in which communication can be manifested;
Do you have any idea what are those context and
situations?

Princess do you have any idea?

-Class recitation and face to face interaction

Yes good.

it can be a face-to-face interaction, a phone

conversation, a group discussion, a meeting or interview,
a letter correspondence, a class recitation, and many
others."

"Based on the video clip that you've seen, what kind of

situation in

communication did you observe?"

Beverly: "Ma'am, it's an online class recitation."

"That's right! It's an online class recitation."

Explanation.

"Communication exists in all kinds of situations. And a

communication process will not be deemed successful
without the presence of its basic elements."

So what are those basic elements?

Can you give me one Pauline.

"Ma'am, Message."
Yes. Very good. So what do you think is the use of this
elements in communication?
Pauline: A message is the information that is being
passed on during the communication process.

Very good!

How about the others can you give me another example?

Heide: Ma'am Channel.

Yes channel. And channel is?

:A channel is used to convey an information signal, for

example a digital bit stream, from one or several
senders(or transmitters) to one or several receivers.

Another element is? Mark justen can you give.

Justen: Ma'am reciever po.

Good. And who is the receiver in a communication
process? Receiver is the person who gets the message
and tries to understand what the sender

actually wants to convey and then responds accordingly.

Alright. How about the speaker what is the role of the

speaker in communication process?

Lency :Ma'am, the speaker is the initiator of

communication.

Very good and lastly is the feedback. What Feedback is?

Argeil: The Feedback is the final step of the process that

ensures the receiver has
received the message and interpreted it correctly.

Very good so those are the basic elements of

communication. All of your answers are correct. So let us
continue to understand more this basic elements.

Next slide(The teacher will present the elements of

communication in the

Powerpoint presentation.)

"We have the speaker...

Receiver...

Message..

Channel
And Feedback.."

"Let us first define the meaning of the speaker."

"Ms. Michaela, can you read the meaning of the

speaker."

(Ms. Michaela reads the meaning of the speaker.")

"The speaker or also known as the sender is the source of

information, message,

idea or emotion."

"Based on the video that you have watched, who do you

think is the speaker or the sender?"
Mary Jane: "Ma'am, the teacher."

"Correct! It's the teacher!"

"How about the second element, can you read Ms.

Charina."

(Ms. Charina reads the second element of

communication.)

"The receiver is the recipient of the message, or

someone who decodes the

message." "It could also be you or the one you are talking
to. In our current state, you are the receiver, and I am
the sender."
"The third element of communication is the message. It
contains the information. ideas, or thoughts conveyed by
the speaker in words or in actions. It is basically what the
sender wants to say to the receiver."

"Let us go now to the fourth element of communication,

can you read Kerby." (Kerby reads the fourth element of
communication.)

"The channel is the medium or the means, such as

personal or non-personal,

verbal or nonverbal, in which the encoded message is

conveyed.

The message can be delivered through speaking, writing,

letters, television, or radio. These are just a few examples
of the different channels that we can use to deliver our
message."
"Can you read the meaning of the last element, Ms.
Manapul."

(Ms. Manapul reads the meaning of the last element of

communication.)

"The last element of communication is the feedback. It

refers to the reactions. responses, or information
provided by the receiver. This is the response of the
audience you are talking to.

"In order to have effective communication, it is

important to know and fully understand how the process
works."

"So here are the Six steps in communication process:"

Next slide
"As you can see, without the sender, the process of
communication will not

begin."

So first can read, (name)

First, the speaker generates an idea.

And after that, the speaker encodes an idea or converts

the idea into words or actions.
