Good morning, everyone! We are the group 4 and we are here in front of you to
present our presentation!
Scenario 1

Khaila (Narrator): On 27th of August, Thursday in the morning, Ms. Lunas are
discussing something in the front her class.

Missy (The Teacher): Good morning class, so ating ipagpatuloy ang kwento ng
Noli Me Tangere.
katunungan akong iibigay sainyo.

Khaila (Narrator): After a few hours you can see in the student's face that they are
not listening and they are not focusing on what their teacher is teaching. Some of
the students are playing with their cellphone, while others are talking to their
seatmate or even sleeping and very few students listen to their teacher. You can see
in the face of the student that they are really bored since their teacher gives a lecture
on a topic for all most the complete time in the period.
(The bell rings)
Missy (The Teacher): Dyan muna nagtatapos ang ating talayan, bukas naman.
Good bye class!
Khaila (Narrator): That would be the End of scenario 1. In the first scenario you
can clearly see that the teaching strategies that the teacher use is not effective. The
lecture method is an oral teaching technique where a teacher addresses a big
classroom with a lecture on a particular subject for almost the entire session.
Because the learner is not as involved in this method as they should be, it is the
least successful way to teach.

Scenario 2
Khaila (Narrator): On 27th of August, Thursday afternoon, Ms. Ebrada went to his
class. She greeted her students with a smile on his faces.

Sally (The Teacher): Good Afternoon Class!

Students: Good afternoon Ma’am.

Sally (The Teacher): So before we start, we will have a energizer first.. Alam n'yo
Students: Yes/NO

Sally (The Teacher): Ok, some of you doesn’t know it yet, So I will do it first and
later sabay-sabay na tayo.

(The teacher is instructing her class about the dance)

(The music plays)

Sally (The Teacher): Nakuha ba mga bata?

(The music plays)

Sally (The Teacher): Very good class! Let’ all clap our hands.

Narrator: After their energetic dancing the teacher start his lesson with a task.
Sally (The Teacher): So, class, are you familiar with the word “Debate”?
Students: yes,ma’am.
Sally (The Teacher): Magaling kung ganon, bago tayo magsimula sa ating
talakayan, magkakaroon muna tayo ng isang debate. I will group you into 2 group.
This will be the group 1 and this will be the group 2. The topic you will be debating
is “WHAT IS BETTER FOR LEARNING? TEACHERS OR INTERNET? Group 1
will depend the teacher and Group 2 will depend the internet. Am I clear class?
Student: Yes Ma’am.
Sally (The Teacher): OK.

Narrator: when Ms. Ebrada is done with instructing, she gave 10 minutes for the
group activity to be done. You can see, that the student are collaborating, brain
storming/ sharing ideas with their groupmates.

Sally (The Teacher): Times Up! Let’s start!

Grace: Teacher provides actual model compare to internet they just provide only an
images and picture.

Kharine: agree with the idea of teacher is better for learning than internet because
teacher is successfully bringing a productive outcome through online classes, most
especially on face to face classes.

Renates: Through internet we gained a lot of knowledge and information na mas

makakatulong saating pag aaral..
lahat. So that internet is the better for learning.

Missy: However, we can't deny the fact that most of the students nowadays prefer
the internet more, especially that we are in the 21st century, where we can access
anything by the use of internet. And alam natin yang lahat, so we can use internet
wherever and whenever we are, it is accessible for all as well as it's more
convenient.
Nery Len: I know that nowadays internet is accessible and internet help us in any
different ways but for me teacher is better for learning because they help us to more
understand the world by means of teaching.

Sally (The Teacher): excellent class!
dahil ang teachers provide the power of education to today's youth, thereby
giving them the possibility for a better future. Teachers simplify the complex, and
make abstract concepts accessible to students. A teacher's job is to nurture,
teach, and raise children to become useful to society.

Khaila (Narrator): That’s the end of the role play! As you observe, there is the
difference between the scenario 1 and 2. In second scenario, it emphasizes the
learner centered teaching since it shows engagement, motivation, improved critical
thinking and problem-solving skills. While doing the task the student show
collaboration/teamwork, brainstorming or sharing their ideas to their groupmates,
and use their critical thinking skills to answer the task assigned to them. Instead of
simply pouring information over her student's mind, the facilitator presents the
student with a task and guides the class as they build a solution. It is very important
to a teacher use learner centered teaching because it helps students to be more
active and be engage in learning. As we all know Learner centered teaching focuses
on students’ ability to be able to explore, it puts student as the center of the learning
process. That would be all thank you!
