First, let me check your attendance. Is there

any absence among the boys? Male Students: None ma’am!

Great, how about the girls?

Female Student: None ma’am!

Very good, class. I am glad that all of you

are present today. Say to your seatmate, Student saying amazing.
amazing!

B. Review
Last meeting, I’ve told you to read your
book about divisibility rules.

What have you read?

Mary: Ma’am divisibility rules have even
Okay, that’s what Mary read. numbers.

How about the others?

Students raising their hands.
Yes, Nicole?
Ma’am there are different rules
Well, they have. It will be tackled later on.
Students: Yes, ma’am!
Are you still with me, class?

C. Motivation
Before we proceed to our main discussion,
let’s have a game entitled “See, now guess
me”.
Students: Yes, ma’am!
Are you ready?

I will be grouping you in to three groups,

each group have a one leader, one writer and
one buzzer. So, this will be the group 1, 2
and 3.

The leader will lead the group, the writer

will write the correct answer in a paper and
the buzzer will be the one who make a sound
to raise their answer. Students: Yes, ma’am!
Are we clear class?
Now, I will be showing a word and you need
to identify what letter is missing. Students: Some said yes, some said no.
Are you ready, class? Some students raise their hands
Who said no, kindly raise your hand? Student 1: Ma’am I didn’t understand the
instructions.
Why do you say no? Yes, student 1?

Okay, let me repeat the instructions. Listen

carefully class.
Students are listening.

I will be grouping you into 3 groups, each

groups have its 1 leader, 1 writer and 1
buzzer. The leader will guide the members
while the writer is the one who writes the
answer and the buzzer will be the one who
makes a sound to raise their answer.

I will show some words and each group will

guess what is the missing letter in the word I Students: Yes, ma’am!
provided.

Are we clear, class?

Students are listening.
Alright, let’s begin.

All eyes on me, class. Be ready! Students are doing their activities.

First, we have this word.

Group 1, make a sound.
F_C_O_S

The buzzer of each group will be the one Group 1: Its FACTORS, ma’am!
who can make a sound and raise the answer.

Okay, we have the first group. What’s the Group 1: Yes, ma’am!
answer group 1?
All students: Yes, ma’am!
Are you sure about your answer?

Class, do you have the same answer in group

1? All students are clapping.

Good job, group 1.

Let’s give them five claps!

Now, for the second word. Students doing their activity.

_UM_E_S Group 3, make a sound.

Group 3: Ma’am it’s the word NUMBERS!
Okay, in 5, 4, 3 2, 1

Now, group 3 what’s your answer? All students: Yes, ma’am!

All students are clapping.

Is group 3 correct, class?

Great job group 3. Let’s give them five

claps.
Students are answering
For the last word. DIVISIBILITY
Students: Yes, ma’am!

Group 1, make a sound.
Class, participate with your groupmates.
Group 1: Ma’am, DIVISIBLE
If you are done make a sound.
Group1: No, ma’am
Group 1, what’s your answer?
Group 2 make a sound.
Are you sure about your answer?
Group 2: Ma’am, its DIVISIBILTY
Who would like to help group 1?

Okay, group 2? What’s your answer? Group 2: Yes, ma’am!

Students are clapping.

Are you sure?

Very good, its DIVISIBILTY.

Let’s give group 2 five claps.

Fantastic, great work everyone! You’ve got

to tell the correct words I presented. It seems
Students: Yes, ma’am!
like you had such a fun guessing the words.

Are you still with me, class?

D. Lesson Proper

This time I want to share with you the word

“FACT” that somehow related to our topic
for today. Kindly read this class.

F-ind the common factors

A-nd can demonstrates understanding of
divisibility order and
C-an apply it to real life situations Students: Yes, ma’am!
T-o enhance learning.

By the word, FACT this will help us to our

activity later on.

Are you still with me, class?

Class, I want you to look at this picture and

try to guess what it is.
Students raising their hands.
First, we have?
Ma’am, it’s a book

Ma’am there are 2 books

Can anyone guess
what this is?

Yes, mara?

Very good, it’s a book and how many book

are in the picture?
Correct, we have 2 books. Thank you mara
you may now take your seats.

How about this one? Students are raising their hands

Ma’am it’s a pencil

Ma’am there are 5 pencils

What material is in the picture? Students: Yes, ma’am!

Yes, Trisha?

How many pencils are in the picture?

Is Trisha correct class?

Very good, there are 5 pencils in the picture.

Last picture we have

Some students raising their hands

Ma’am a crayons

Ma’am there are 10 crayons in the picture

What is this?
Students: Yes, ma’am!
Noel, what is in the picture?

Correct it’s a crayon, how many crayons did

you see in the picture?
Students are listening.
Are you sure it’s 10 crayons?

Yes, it is. Very good, give yourselves 5

claps!

As you know the numbers of this pictures,

this numbers are connected to our topic for
today which is the uses of divisibility rules
for 2, 5, 10 and find the common factors of
each number.
Students are listening.
Divisibility rules- it is a set of general rules
that are often used to determine whether or
not a number is evenly divisible by another
number.

This is the rule that we often used to check if

the number are can be divided to another
number.

We also have the divisible meaning that it

can be divided without a remainder.

Factor- is any of the numbers used in

multiplication to form a product.
Example: 3x4=12
The 3 and 4 is a factor and the 12 is the Students raising their hands.
product.
When we say common factor, it is a factor Ma’am its 5 and 10 ma’am
that two or more numbers have its common.
Example: 2,4,5,6, 8, 10
5, 10, 15, 20

What are the common factors?

Students: Yes, ma’am!
Yes, student 2?

That’s correct, it is the common factor.

You may now take your seat.
Some students raising their hands.
Now, let’s discuss about the divisibility of 2.

Are you still with me, class? Ma’am 10

Divisibility rule for 2- is that all even Yes, ma’am

numbers are divisible by 2. Even numbers
end in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8.

Can anyone give me an example of numbers Students raising their hands.

that ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8?
Ma’am 45
Yes, student 1?
Yes, ma’am
Are you sure?
Very good, 10 is divisibility rule for 2 No, ma’am
because it ends in even number 0.
Students raising their hands
Other examples, class?
Ma’am, its because 45 is not an even
Myla, you’re raising your hand? number and it is not divisibility rule for 2

Are you sure about your answer?

Class, is 45 divisible by 2?
Yes, ma’am
Who said no?

Yes, student 2? Students are listening.

Very good, 45 is not divisibility rule for 2
because it’s not end in even number 0,2,4,6
and 8 Ma’am 45
Did you get it class? Because it ends in number 5
Now, we move on to divisibility rule for 5.

When we say divisibility rule for 5- it is a

number that divisible by 5 if the last digit of
the number is 0 or 5. Ma’am 130

Can you give me an example, Mary? Yes, ma’am!

How do you say so?

That’s correct, the number 45 is a

divisibility rule for 5.

How about, Michel?

Are you sure about your answer?
Students are raising their hands.
Very good, 130 is divisible by 5.

Now, I want you to look at this. Ma’am there are 16 animals in the picture.

Yes, ma’am!

Students raising their hands.

How many
animals can you see in the picture? Ma’am no

Yes, student 1? Ma’am because 16 is not divisibility rule

for 5. Its divisibility rule for 2.
Are you sure?

Okay, we have 16 animals in the picture. Is

this a divisibility rule for 5?

Yes, students 5?

Why is it no? Students: Yes, ma’am!

That’s correct! 16 is not divisibility rule for

5. It is belonged to the divisibility rule for 2.

Great observation, class!

Now, let’s move to divisibility rule for 10. Some students raising their hands
Are you still with me class?
Ma’am 500
For divisibility rule for 10- a number is
divisible by 10 if the last digit is 0. Yes, ma’am!
Example: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70,80,90
and 100

Who among you can give me number that All students: Yes, ma’am!
ends in 0 aside from the given example?

Mike, you’re raising your hand?

Are you sure that 500 is divisible by 10?

Great, 500 is divisible by 10 because it ends Students: 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 ma’am

in 0.

Are you still following class?

E. Generalization

Remember class, the divisibility rule for 2 is

all the even numbers are divisible of 2. Students: Yes, ma’am!

What are the even numbers again? Students: Yes, ma’am

That’s right!

The divisibility rule for 5 is if the last digit

of the number is 0 or 5 while the divisibility
rule for 10 is if the last digit is 0.
Students: Yes, ma’am!
Are you following class?

Now, do you want to play?

It seems like you want to play then I will be

grouping you into 4 groups. This will be the
group 1, 2, 3 and 4. Each group have to
answer the given situation that I will be
distribute later on. One representative each Students: Yes, ma’am!
group will come here in front to present their
work. You have 10 minutes to do your
activity. Are you following, class?

Criteria:
Creativity-10 points
Content- 10 points Students doing their activity.
Teamwork- 5 points
Total of 25 points

Class are you still with me?

Leader per group come in front.

Group 1, presenting their work
Situation: (Students clapping)
Find the common factors of 30 and 50 using
the divisibility rules for 2, 5 and 10. Group 2, presenting their work
(Students clapping)
Now, face your groupmates and start doing
your activity. Group 3, presenting their work
(Students clapping)
Time’s up! One representative each group Group 4, presenting their work
will come here in front to present their work. (Students clapping)

Group 1, you may now start! (Students responded)

Thank you group 1, give them a five claps1

Group 2 next.
Great work, let’s give them 5 claps! Students: Yes, ma’am!

Group 3 next
Wow, very good! Let’s give them 5 claps!

Lastly, Group 4. Wonderful, let’s give them

5 claps! Some students raising their hand

Great work and collaboration everyone! Ma’am I think when we split 100 pesos
Tap yourself and say we made it, yay!
Ma’am the divisibility rule for 2, 5 and 10
F. Application
Are you still with me, class? Its because it ends in 0
Now, I want you to give me an example
where we can use the divisibility rules for 2,
5 and 10
Students responded
Anyone?
Students responded
Maine you’re raising your hand?

That’s right! Then what divisibility rules can

we use?

How do you say so?

Very good, Maine! You have a good
explanation good job! Students are answering

Again class, what is divisibility rules?

How about the Factor?

Well done, class!

G. Evaluation
Now, for your last activity get a ½ sheet of
paper and answer the following. I’ll be given
you 5 minutes to answer.
