1. Give three other major scientific and technological developments in the world (or
in the Philippines) that created a large impact on your daily life. You may attach
pictures of the said developments respectively.

The world is developing drastically and some of it are the technological

developments which plays a large impact on our daily lives. Some
technological developments in the world are;

1. Electricity- It is an important technological

development since it is the one who pave
the way for the new and advance
technological development without
electricity, it would not be possible for the
new generations to develop new
innovations. Electricity is known to be a
fuel of new development of advancement
for the new generation and also an
irreplaceable tool of the modern life.
Electricity is an essential part of modern
life and it helps us in many different ways
from transportation, occupation, learning,
recreation and so on.

2. Internet- In today's world, we rely

largely on the internet since it is the
easiest way to access infinite quantities
of information. It is a significant
technical advancement because it
brings culture closer to more people by
making it more simply and rapidly
 available, it also fosters the emergence of new forms of artistic expression
and information dissemination.

3. Mobile Phones- Mobile phones are

perhaps one of the greatest innovations in
human history since they have made
communication simpler all around the
world, no matter where we are. Mobile
phones have impacted our lives in a 2
aspect. First one is the positive aspect
wherein we we can read books, listen to
music, take pictures, watch videos, play
games, create and edit documents, get a
medical opinion, and much more meaning
having an all-around tool. The second one
is on negative aspect wherein most of
users are getting addicted of this
technology.

2.   What historical antecedents gave rise to the inventions you mentioned in the
first question?

1. The use of electricity only began in 1752 when Benjamin Franklin ran his
famous kite experiment that sparked the discovery of electricity. After this
remarkable outcome, people were eager to try to harness the power of
electricity for the primary purpose of lighting their houses in a cost-
effective and safe manner.

2. The main purpose of the invention of the internet is because of the

military. Its invention was later used to facilitate scientific communication.
During the Cold War, the demand for communication grew, forcing the
development of new technologies (Cold war between the Soviet Union
 and the United States). It was important that spies did not disrupt the
military-academic computer network.

3. Martin Cooper teamed with a communication business (Motorola) to

develop the cell phone in 1973, with the goal of allowing people to
communicate anywhere using a more portable gadget.

3. How did the developments in science and technology shape human history?

 Science and technical breakthroughs have significantly altered the way

humans live and, as a result, have shaped human history. These
innovations supported economic prosperity and a greater level of living.
The electricity, internet, mobile phones, and other technological
developments allow people to communicate instantly and have an easier
life because of all innovations, developments that has been discovered. All
advances are built on people's foresight in the past, and this foresight
leads to innumerable discoveries and progress. As individuals build on
what they have started and develop in more intelligent ways,
breakthroughs in science and technology have a greater impact on human
history.
