LESSON PLAN

Our lesson will be oriented to third of primary students that are 8-9 years old. In this session
the activities will be focused on the family as the principal topic. In previous years, the
students have learned the most important and basic family members, so in this lesson they
will develop and broaden their knowledge about the topic. We have decided to divide the
forty minute lesson into four parts, each one with one main activity.

Furthermore, each morning we would start every session with a routine. Firstly, we would
ask the students questions about the weather, what have they done the day before and,
finally, the students would have to write the date on the blackboard. This is done in order to
create some habits and to improve the attention in class.

Conclusion
We wanted to do an activity in which our students could work the vocabulary in an enjoyable
way. Moreover, we think that with this activity pupils work a variety of parts of english: writing,
because they need to write all the members in the family tree; speaking, because they
should explain their classmate how he or she organized their diagram and, moreover, they
are going to do a discussion, with all the class, in which they will practise all the knowledge
they have used previously to do the map. In this last activity they will work the listening part
too.
In conclusion we think this class could be very useful for our students and it could be a good
way to implement the family vocabulary to the class.
