A. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Identify the general idea and specific information about the conversation between Linda and Mai. 2. Identify language items (vocabulary family members). 3. Apply language about family members to talk about them with loving attitudes 4. Recognize that every home has different members 5. Improve their listening English skills, speaking English skills and pronunciation. B. LANGUAGE FOCUS Key language items Vocabulary: grandfather,grandmother,father,mother,sister,brother Grammar: Ask and answer question about family members, Using structures: who is that? He is/ she is + ( family members) C. Activity 2: Look, listen and repeat
- Tell pupils that they are going to asks and answer questions about family members and their ages. - Give a few seconds for pupils to look at the first picture and elicit what the characters say. - Give the meaning of unfamiliar words and have pupils rapeat the language a few times. - Repeat the same procedure with the second picture - Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the character speaking.Have pair of pupils perform the dialogue in front of the class. - Play the recording for pupils to listen and say along

Activity 3: Point and say
- Tell pupils that they are going to practise asking and answering question to identify a family member, using structures: Who’s that? He’s /She’s + family member. - Point to each picture and check comprehension - Give feed back and have pupils repeat each word a few times - Do choral and individual repetition, Using the pictures in the book. - Get pupils to work in pairs. Go around to offer help and correct the pronunciation if necessary - Check as a class
Activity 4: Let’s talk
- Ask students to look at the pictures and read the name characters - Tell pupils that they are going to practise more with their friends. - Have pupil work inpair.Go around to offer help and correct the pronunciation,if necessary - Call a few pair to act out the dialoguein front of the class. - If necessary, tell pupils to ask and answer question about their own families. - Example: S1: Who is that? S2: She is my mother. - Ask Ss to report what household chores they and their partners can do at home. Activity 5: WRAP-UP - Ask students following questions: work in pair to answer to identify core values of the lesson. 1. What did we learn from the lesson today? Learn about vocabulary family member Learn structures :who is that? He is / she is +…( family member) 2.Do you love family members? Yes, I do 3 What do you have to do to make your parents happy? Study hard to make parents happy. Do housework after school. Know how to obey to parents. Share house work with their family. Do not be naghty or lazy. Keep your body well. 4. Can you describe a person who you like best? Describe a person with using some structures He / she is (tall/ short), He/she is (friendly/honest/kind…) He/she is handsome/beatifull. - Give the students a model paragrap about description of one person and express the attitues for them. - Ask students to use the language items in communication, and prepare for the next lesson.
