Anurag Goswami’s interview to Radio Dwarka is a first-hand account of the happenings of the
Communications Skills course offered to the first-year law students of National Law University, Delhi.
He introduces the course by describing how each lecture’s tone is set by beginning it with an
inspirational video, and compliments Prof. (Dr.) Prasannanshu for ensuring that the lectures are
engaging and interactive for his students. He talks about the endlessly wide ambit of the students’
study, and cites some examples of the study material utilized in classes to drive home his point.

Mr. Goswami moves on to describe what different aspects of professional workplace communication
the students are trained in. He makes a special note about “one of the core objectives of the
course”, personality development, and helps readers understand where these skills are required and
why these skills are important.

The interviewee further talks about the various group events organized in class, such as ‘Dionysia’,
the flagship dramatics fest, and the poetry meet, that help develop teamwork and cooperation skills.
He delves into the importance of these skills, and talk about how and why these “universal
essentials” are very important in the legal profession.

Mr. Goswami concludes his interview by describing the tone of the course. He proclaims it to be “the
ultimate stress-buster” for the freshers of National Law University, Delhi and lauds the course for
helping these students settle into their new normal, i.e., the painstakingly meticulous academic
lifestyle that they will be living through in their five years of undergraduate law school.
