Recommendations for Using the Screed Load

Device
Use of the screed load device depends upon paving width
This sales information supplements the instructions for using the screed
load device. Please refer to our sales information 14/2003.
The application of the screed load device will decisively improve the
surface evenness when paving difficult to compact materials, at
unfavourable surrounding conditions and at larger paving widths.
Depending on the parameters, it may be wise to use the screed load
device.

Screed load device on single tamper VB-78/88 screeds

The application of the screed load device:

on VB-78/88 screeds beyond 7.5m to be taken into consideration

on VB-78/88 screeds beyond 9.0m absolutely essential

In these cases, the screed load device must be offered as a separate

option.

Screed load device on double tamper VDT-V 78/88 screeds

The screed load device is not necessary when paving up to 6.0m (VDT-V
78) and up to 7.0 m (VDT-V 88) with double tamper screeds. The screed
anti-climbing lock is quite adequate at these widths.
Depending on the paving conditions, the screed load device should be
taken into consideration on double tamper screeds at the following
paving widths:

VDT-V 78 at 6.5 m paving width

VDT-V 88 at 7.5 m paving width

The screed load device is absolutely essential at pavinh widths beyond 6.5
m (VDT-V 78) and 7.5 m (VDT-V 88).
