Introduction
In this presentation, we astronauts were
assigned to create mission to Mars and
represent our country. I created a mission that
investigates the climate in Mars. You will know
the objectives , speciality, landing system and
more information about my mission and rovers.
About the Mission
Mission Name: Climate Orbiter
Launch Date: 18 December 2022
Expected Date of Landing: 16 February 2022
Travel time: 2:00 a.m.
Landing site: Colombia Hills, Gusev
Mission Duration: 60 and ½ days.
Objectives Of the Mission
Soon in the Future, people will be converted in Mars. In order
to live there, there must be a certain temperature for us to live.
So in this mission, will investigate the climate in Mars.

Rover is going to inspect the climate in Mars. It will realise a

probe and it will dig through the ground, burying itself and
dragging a tether behind it. Temperature sensors made in this
tether will measure the natural heat of Mars.
Speciality of the rover

This rover will release probes, not like other rovers.

It investigates the atmosphere and the temperature
in Mars, not the surface like other rovers. The name
is chosen by the ability of this rover. The rover can’t
dig in the ground, so we’ll have to make a part where
it realises probes
Landing System
The spacecraft will descend on a parachute, then during the
final seconds before landing, the landing system will fire
rockets to allow it to hover while a tether lowered Climate
Orbiter to the surface. The rover will land on its wheels and
the tether will be cut. The landing system is probably the
same as other rovers landing systems.

Colombia Hills, Gusev
The Columbia Hills are a range of low hills inside Gusev crater on Mars.
They were observed by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit when it landed
within the crater in 2004. The hills is approximately 3 kilometres away
from the rover's original landing position.

On February 2, 2004, the individual peaks of the Columbia Hills were

named after the seven astronauts who died in the disaster. Spirit spent a
few years exploring the Columbia Hills until it ceased to function in 2010.
It was also considered a potential landing site for the Mars 2020
Perseverance rover, before the selection of Jezero crater in November
2018.
