Cleaning the pressure sensor V3

In some cases, the pressure sensor board V3 (with sensor tubes facing
forward) gets dirty, making pressure error and pressure offsetting problem.

It is possible to clean the sensor (inside the metal tube) to remove the salt
deposits or other particles, making the sensor work again.

The process will only work with V3 version sensors (metal tube on inlets),
older type of sensor boards has plastic sensor on the side and will not react
for this cleaning process.

It is recommended to clean the sensors according to the following before

making any change.

Required tools:

1. Syringe with tygon tube on the outlet

2. Needle which can be attached to the tygon tube
3. Air duster aerosol

Remove the sensor board from the instrument before cleaning!!!

Detach the tubes from the sensors and the cable from the back of the board.

1.
Fill the syringe with 2 ml distilled water.
Attach the needle to the end of the tygon tube.
By using the needle, it is easier to inject water
into the sensor’s metal tube. Reaching the
sensor in the metal tube by using only syringe
will not let the liquid to reach the sensors
completely.
2.
Inject the liquid into the metal tubes on the
right side! These tubes are attached to the
pneumatic system of the instrument. Distilled
water will not leave any salt deposits on the
board so it is no problem if the liquid is
overflowing the sensor board.

3.
Remove the liquid from the metal tubes using a duster aerosol. If
the liquid is removed, replace the board into the unit.
Make sure that the board is dry when inserting it back to the unit.
Attach the tubes and the USB cable and turn on the unit.
In service / adjustments menu, run pressure sensor offsetting the
set the new offset values.
