Grade 9 – St. Philip
My Grade 9 Life
When the school year began, I was nervous because in the past year I
was an irresponsible student and my parents told me that in third year it will
be much more difficult than the fourth year of high school, because this is
where the curriculum is preparing the students for the next year for the grade
for moving up. When the day of school started, I was anxious because it was
also the day in which the homeroom adviser is introduced, and I was afraid
that my adviser would be scary, but as time progressed, I realized that Sir
Custodio is a friendly teacher and strict disciplinarian when it comes to our
section academic inquiries. Of course, we were still studying online through
MS Teams that our school paid for so that we could comfortably study and do
our workload for school. When the first quarter began it was hard because I
was not aware of the things that were being discussed but I said to myself that
if I believe in myself and finish my workload, I am sure I can accomplish all
tasks and achieve an award. And sure enough, I was an honor student for that
quarter.
So as time progressed, I have gotten used to the way things were during
high school, so a couple of things are not new to me for example the amount of
activity that my school gives to help students learn. Many challenges arose but
my parents and teachers helped me overcome the problems that have arisen
during high school. As soon as the next quarter began, I said to myself that if I
continued the things that I did last time I could achieve an award like last
time. In my own perspective this quarter was the hardest because this is
where many activities were given and there are a lot of things to memorize. I
am not entirely saying that it was super hard, but I am saying this because
this is where my old self begins to show up in which I am always sleeping
sometimes causing it so that I have a tough time finishing some of my tasks in
school for example of subject under this is Computer, TLE, MAPEH. But I
was able to overcome this adversary and achieve a dream that I have wished
for a long time, and this is becoming an honor student after a quarter of
becoming an honor student. And so, the 3rd quarter began, and I was
expecting it to be as hard as the second quarter, but it was not actually. This is
