1.1 Let’s talk about my school life
Education is an indispensable element in the present century, both for
individuals hoping to make a place for themselves in society and for
countries aspiring to development. It was with this in mind that my parents
enrolled me in school so that I could be useful to society and participate in
my country's development.
I am currently studying for a degree in banking. I am working hard to
achieve a perfect mastery of the field I have chosen. In fact, to reach this
goal, I make sure that I understand all my lessons, that I attend them
regularly, that I always do my homework, that I always ask my teachers for
explanations when I don't understand. In spite of my very busy schedule,
which takes up most of my day, I always manage to revise the lesson I learnt
with the teacher at home. Apart from what the teacher gives, I always do
research to add other elements to the lessons because I am aware that the
hours allocated to the teachers to teach the course do not give them the
possibility to do much. So every day before I go to do a subject I always
revise it the day before.
Apart from the lessons we do in class, I also educate myself on everything
related to finance and banking through my subscriptions to different
newspaper pages, financial institutions, social networks like LinkedIn,
Instagram etc.
As far as the atmosphere in class is concerned, I like to be surrounded by
my fellow students because after work we get stressed. So you always have
to be in an environment where there is joy, peace and laughter in order to
relieve the stress and feel much better. With this in mind, most weekends
are spent with fellow students at the beach, in the cape, at the Baie des rois,
etc.
Besides the atmosphere, from time to time we feel a strong competition
between us, which I personally appreciate because I feel it helps me to excel
year after year. By striving to be the best in the class I work and learn more
and more. I always win because I become a better student than I was before.
To sum up, my school life is a life that revolves around challenges and also
stress because of the homework to be handed in on short notice, the
competition between us to be the best in the class, and the good things we
have to do to avoid disappointing our parents. However, the most important
thing I remember is the good atmosphere and the relationships we create
because outside of class we are already a family.

1.3 The best thing about school
As far as school is concerned, there are many things I like. However, being a
sociable person, what I appreciate the most is the new acquaintances I
make. By new acquaintances, I mean the teachers we have as well as our
fellow students. As far as the teachers are concerned, in addition to the
course, they share their professional experiences with us, which motivates
me. In addition to that, they also give us advice on how to behave in order to
live well in society. Also the fact that they give us the opportunity to do
internships in their structures.
On the other hand, getting to know classmates is something I also
appreciate. It is very important because in today's world it is difficult to do
everything by yourself so you need a good address book. Even with diplomas
without someone you know to give you the information that there is a job
somewhere or that a fellow student recommends you to another
acquaintance, it would be complicated to find a job. That's why I value
school relationships. I take care of it in the same way that I take care of
myself to get my degree.
1.4 Age in which I start school.
I started with school at the age of 6 directly in the beginners' class. I did not
attend kindergarten and preschool because of my grandmother's availability.
She and my parents thought it was better for me to stay with her than to live
with my parents and go to preschool so I wouldn't be left alone at home. And
the reason I started at 6 and not at 5 like most children is because my father
said that at 6 I would have enough intellectual capacity to assimilate lessons
than if I started at a younger age.
1.5 Favourite subject
Among all the subjects we do at school I don't really have a favourite subject.
I am interested in all the subjects in my field, however, I have a great
preference for all the subjects in which there are calculations such as
finance, accounting and credit. Because I am a lover of mathematics, I feel
comfortable with it from a young age. This is justified by the fact that I went
to a scientific high school and that I have a baccalaureate series C.
1.6 The fact to studying English
Yes, I enjoy, of all the languages we study at school, English is the one that
gives me the most pleasure when learning. Because firstly it is the most
spoken language in the world. Secondly, because with it I can understand
most of the books I find on the internet to learn, and most of the videos on
YouTube because the best videos are in English. On top of that, its good
command would be a great asset for me in the professional world as it would
allow me to have an advantage over other candidates in a recruitment
process, as well as the fact that it would allow me to discuss easily with
clients and partners who are not French speaking.
