Dear Students,

You are intimated that Industry Internship Programme (IIP) is an integral part of your PGDM
Programme. It is to be completed successfully for promotion to the second year of the programme.
The objective of this programme is to get exposure of the workplace in the industry regarding the
management concepts which are taught during lectures at the institute. The practical knowledge
about the workplace helps to acquire competencies which are necessary for effective and efficient
working in the future for management professional.

For successful completion of internship programme your sincere and dedicated efforts are required
and these would result in honing skills and knowledge in line with requirements of potential
employers. Due to this, the employability of the candidate gets enhanced considerably. Further,
we expect students to complete their internship programme successfully and get pre-placement
offers from their respective companies of the internship. It is very crucial for your career and
professional advancement. We are confident that you will put your sincere efforts for completion
of the programme. You are advised to strictly adhere to stipulated timeline.

You are provided herewith the Guidelines for Industry Internship Programme 2022. The eight
week internship programme shall be held during the period 1st June, 2022 to 31st July, 2022. For
further clarification, please feel free to contact your respective faculty guide.

Industry Internship Programme Guidelines


1. Introduction:
The main elements of the programme are following:
(a) Total Credits: 6

(b) Duration: The total duration of the programme is of eight weeks starting from 1st June, 2022

(c) Satisfactory completion of IIP is mandatory for registration to Trimester IV of PGDM


Programme

2. Course Outcomes:

1) Analyse the workplace environment of an industry from management perspective.

2) Apply various management concepts and theories to real world decision making.

3) Acquire the competencies such as communication, technology, quantitative reasoning, and


teamwork which are necessary for effective and efficient working in industry.

4) Enhance skills in various business disciplines; such as human resources management,


operations management, marketing, accounting, statistics, economics, finance, and
business law.

5) Develop a work ethics, professional behavior and social responsibility.

3. Guidelines for reporting during Internship Programme:


(a) The Industry Internship programme comprises of specific work or task assigned to the
student on the online or offline mode by the concerned business organization. A detailed
report on Industry Internship Programme shall be submitted by the student to the
Organization and the Institute as per given format.

(b) Students will be allocated a faculty guide for internship. Students have to compulsorily
report the progress of their work and their learnings to the respective faculty guide on a
fortnightly basis through online meetings during the programme.

(c) Students must fill up and upload all the Fortnightly Progress Reports to their faculty guides
on SKIPS Connect as per the shared format only.

(d) Students are required to follow the deadlines as mentioned below:

4. Guidelines for Evaluation:

The Internship programme evaluation is divided in two parts.

(a) Evaluation by Industry guide: Total 100 Marks

(i) Intern Evaluation (Confidential)

(ii) Project Evaluation - 50 Marks

(iii) Project Viva-voce Evaluation - 50 Marks

(ii) The Internship Report submitted at the organization is evaluated by the Industry Guide as per
criterion given below (50 Marks)
