For internship in Corporates (ie., non-family businesses), the project will depend on the
tasks prescribed by the organization guide as per the organization’s requirements.
Therefore, to make the SIP more effective, the faculty guide may recommend additional
tasks to be carried out by the student (as per the options described in the SIP guidelines)
to maintain the rigour and objectives of the SIP.
Accordingly, the scope of the project should be worked out in consultation with both
the organization guide and the faculty guide and monitored as per the milestones
indicated below:-
NOTE:- In addition to the above, there will be daily / weekly interactions and reporting by
the student with the faculty and organization guide, which will form the basis for the
monitoring and assessment by faculty and organization guide. It is imperative that the
student communicates accordingly with the faculty and organization guides and
maintains record of such interactions.
Phase 1: Joining Report (5%) & SIP Project Proposal Evaluation (10%) (Sub-Total

work done till that date and the plan for completion of the project in the presence of
the organization guide and the relevant managers / supervisors of the departments

student and get feedback from the organization guide (telephonically, email, etc). The
Faculty Guide will assign the marks for presentation based on the feedback given by
the organization guide along with assessment of the power-point slides and written
