during the online class, was noted by the researchers during online class
observation. The innovation and intervention process is a set of Drama-
based supplementary lessons that include a series of topics and activities,
learning techniques on how to deliver a more skilled performance, enhancing
their communication skills, exploring the learners’ bodies that create
characters and communicate through movements, and lastly, expand
learners’ good skills that are set through movements related to their topic in
the current quarter with a different approach for them to understand and
cope easily with their lessons to improve online participation in class. Using
Wilcoxon Signed Rank test, the findings showed a significant difference
between the pre and post level of class participation in theater class using
supplementary activities for drama lessons. It was concluded that the drama-
based supplementary lessons were effective in enhancing the class
participation of students. Furthermore, the study is hoped to serve as a
reference for the theater specialist and other teachers struggling in
enhancing learners’ class participation.
