Objectives

 Use the Access CT Network Installation and Configuration manual to configure the Access
CT console to network with DICOM Workstation.
 Send images from Access CT to DICOM Workstation for viewing

Introduction
FSE needs to learn how to configure Access CT networking and how to configure DICOM nodes.

Procedure Preview
In this lab exercise, the learner will,
 Configure Access CT console TCP/IP networking
 Configure Access CT DICOM nodes
 Send Access CT DICOM images to another DICOM node

Special Instructions/Precautions

<CAUTION:
Read and understand the Access CT Network installation and Configuration document before
proceed with the lab. If you are unsure, please seek help from the instructor.>

Instructions
1. Use the Access CT Network Installation and Configuration manual to configure training
Access CT scanner networking to the training EBW/PACS/Other DICOM CT scanner.
2. Ask your instructor for the necessary information needed for networking the scanner. (IP
address, Network Mask, AE Title, DICOM port number … etc.)
3. Try to send images from training Access CT scanner to training EBW/PACS/Other DICOM
scanner.
4. Show the instructor that the images was sent successfully.

Question:
What is the AE Title? Is it necessary to be unique for different workstations/systems?

What are troubleshooting steps if you have problem connecting other systems?

5. Troubleshooting
a. Bug 1
i. Disconnect the hospital network cable.
ii. Try to send images to another DICOM node.

Question:
Is there any error message when trying to send DICOM images to another
DICOM node?

iii. Check System Log

Question:
Does the system log tells you anything about the networking problem? If yes,
what is the message shows in the system log?

iv. Use your suggested troubleshooting steps to solve the problem.
