 History, culture, arts, geography of the region;

Region 7 is one of the region in the Philippines located in central part of Visayas

island group. It consists of four provinces namely Bohol, Cebu, Negros Ocidental and

Siquijor and has 16 cities with land area of 15,000 875 kilometers and population of

8, 081,988 making it the 5th most populous in the 17 region of the country.

It is also popular due to its art like Lapu-lapu statue and Mactan Shrine which

encapsulate the history of the battle of Mactan and of course to honor Rajah Lapu-

lapu who defeated Ferdinand Magellan.

 Products of the region;

and due to its vast land resources and one of the province majoring in agriculture.

It main products are rice, coconut, and corn. they also contribute 55.15 % of the

regions agriculture output and rank 4th in the national production.

 Tourist spots and places of interest of the region;

Since this region is made of islands we cannot escape the beautiful beaches like

Boracay for instance. Aside from Boaracay there is also other island like Panglao,

Malapascua and of course the one of the most famous mountain range in the world

the Chocolate Hills. This tourist attraction are just samples on what you can see in

the province of the region.

 Physical activities that can be done in the region;

You cannot also escape the physical activities that can be done in this beautiful

sanctuary. One of the most famous activities included are Whale shark encounter

and sumilon sandbar with kawasan falls, Chocolate Hills your with Tarsier and Lubok

River Buffet Lunch, Bohol AtV tour and many more.

and of course we can never enjoy a trip without tasting the local dishes. So I will

just share a few ideas for you and this includes lechon of Cebu, Pocherong Visayas,

Humba, La Paz Batchoy, Otap, Kalamay and a hundred of choices more.

We must also remember why this region is great and it's because of prominent

people like Lapu-lapu, Manny Pacquiao, Sergio Osmeña and Martin Abellana which

contribute art, knowledge, honor and wealth not just in the region but also the

country.
 Career opportunities in the region;
Region 7 is also among the most developed and the fourth largest regional economy

in the country. Central Visayas hosts many industries, including footwear, ICT & IT

enabled services, electronics, wearables, food processing, marine, houseware and

furniture, among others. That can be considered as job opportunities.
