GREAT PLACES TO GO IN THE PHILIPPINES

I. INTRODUCTION

They said that paradise can be found at heaven, but why go to heaven when you can go
and find paradise in the Philippines. Philippines is known for it’s rich history and unique culture,
consisting of 7641 islands there’s no surprise why Philippines has a lot of natural wonders. The
Philippines is also home to world-renowned natural wonders like an underground river and rice
terraces, incredible diving spots rich in biodiversity, colorful public transportation in the
Philippines, unique cuisine, vibrant festivals that showcase its colorful culture, and friendly
locals regarded as some of the happiest in the world.

There are a lot of beautiful places and wonderful tourists spots here in the Philippines,
but these three are the most visited. These are Boracay that located in Malay, Aklan, Banaue
Rice Terraces in Cordillierra and Chocolate hills of Cebu. These places established themselves in
the top of the best tourist spot available here in the Philippines.

II. BODY

Why we should go in these places? Well, if we’re going to discuss all the reasons why we
should go in these places it’s going to take a lot of time, but I’ll tell you the most necessary
reasons.

First on the list is Boracay that located in Malay, Aklan. Before the advent of tourism,
Boracay was largely an agricultural community. Around 1910, Sofía Gonzáles Tirol and her
husband Lamberto Hontiveros Tirol (a town judge on the Panay mainland) took ownership of
substantial properties on the island. They planted coconuts, fruit trees and greenery. According

and blessed with a long stretch of powdery white sand, crystal clear and azure waters, and a
stunning sunset. Boracay is the most iconic island in the Philipines and has won multiple awards
in previous years. Going here will give you a wonderful and unforgettable experience because of
its beautiful scenery that is instagramable and you’ll enjoy every penny you spent. They also
offers a lot of activities just like, island hopping, parasailing, jetski ride, scuba diving etc. The
marine life in this island is also spectacular consisting of rich coral reefs that’s ideal for scuba
diving, there’s no reason that we can’t go to this paradise.
The next one is the Banaue Rice Terraces of Ifugao. The Banaue Rice Terraces are located
on the mountains of Ifugao and were carved there about 2,000 years ago by the ancestors of
the present day Philippines. It is said that they were built by hand and were used to plant rice.
These historical landmark has played a big role in our history because our ancestors used it to
plant their crop. According to Weather.com Perhaps the most famous of rice terraces, the 2000-
year-old Banaue Rice Terraces in the mountains of Ifugao province in the Philippines are
commonly referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The terraces, built largely by hand
and considered an engineering feat, are located 5,000-feet above sea level and cover about
10,360 square kilometres (about 4,000 square miles) of mountainside. The Ifugao people used
stone and mud walls to construct the terraces that could hold flooded pond fields for the
cultivation of rice. Experiencing this natural wonder must be the most memorable time of your
life because you just witnessed a big chunk of history of our country. The view is spectacular,
majestic and inspiring view.

And the last but not the least is the Chocolate hills of Cebu. The hills are located
throughout the towns of Carmen, Batuan and Sagbayan and consist of about 1,776 mounds of
the same general shape. During the dry season when precipitation in inadequate, the grass-
covered hills turn chocolate brown, hence the name in reference to a branded confection.
According to The Chocolate Hills in the Philippines are not actually made of chocolate, but their
unique shape and appearance make them worth visiting. The origin of these hills is still a
mystery, but local legends claim they were formed by giants throwing mounds of earth at each
other. There are also fun activities that we can do here just like the Bike zipline, mountain
biking, fish feeding and horse riding etc.

III. CONCLUSION

In Conclusion, we should go to the Philippines because it’s the place where we can
enjoy, relax and forget all of our problems for the meantime. Full of mesmerising, amazing and
breathtaking places, not to mention the delicious cuisine that they have. Aside from the
Philippines’ picturesque spots, the Filipinos’ warmth and hospitality is a reason itself for you to
visit the country. In fact, the Philippines often rank as the friendliest country in Asia. The
moment your plane lands here, you will be greeted with the genuine and loving smiles of
Pinoys. Filipinos are very hospitable too. The concept of the “extended family” is an important
aspect of their culture. If you have Filipino friends who invite you to their home, they will treat
you like you’re a part of their family. Don’t be surprised if they regularly prepare a feast of
home-cooked Filipino food for you. And that’s why we should go to the Philippines. Full of
majestic, astonishing and rich history that makes this country ideal for the tourists to visit
