The Question

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? My lifestyle is easier and more
comfortable than the one my grandparents experienced when they were young. Use specific
details and examples to support your answer.

Through time, everything changes there is not a single thing that remains invariant. Compared
to the lifestyle my grandparents had, in my opinion mine is much better than theirs. I feel this
way for 2 reasons, educational level has increased in my family and technology advances have
improved average life quality.

To begin with, because of the hard work my grandparents and even my own parents went
through, my siblings and I were able to go to college. Nowadays, a better education means a
better job with a considerable payment, less hours of work more benefits like medical
insurance or even paid vacations. For instance, my dad used to tell me how my grandfather
worked in a construction company, his job consisted in removing debris, loading and unloading
building materials, etc. Now, my bother works in the same company, but because of his degree
he is a manager of the company and he earns almost twice in a month than my grandfather in
one year without any kind of physical work.

Secondly, during the past decade, technology has been developed over any expectation. There
have been breakthroughs in any kind of scientific fields improving medicine, communications,
transportation, etc. Because of that, now it is easier to enjoy and have remarkable lives. Our
horizons are wider than those before us. Almost every person can travel whenever they want
to wherever they want, meeting new people
