1. Why is it important to trace the history of science and technology?

 Science and technology are always working together to make our lives easier and better
in this era that has changed, developed, and invented so much. Our understanding of
science and technology is important because it will help us to understand the changes that
have occurred around us and where they came from, such as in agriculture, architecture,
engineering, transportation, communication, and many other fields. With our historical
knowledge, we can appreciate the things we already have from science and technology
even more, and we can even help improve and enhance them. Besides that, if history is
not known, especially by scientists, the things that provide us with comfort and ease will
not happen or develop. According to Caoili (2018), one of the socioeconomic needs of a
country in the development of the contemporary world is to develop science and
technology, which is why it became a great concern of the government, particularly after
the end of World War II.

2. Do you consider the industrial revolution good or bad? Explain your answer.

 The industrial revolution had a great contribution to the history of the world that gave
incredible things. I can say that it had a positive impact, but in spite of this, there is also a
negative impact where I can say that the industrial revolution is bad. Nowadays, child
labor is increasing, which is one of the things I hate most because instead of going to
school and enjoying it as a child, they start working at a young age. According to History
Crunch (2016), the youngest worker in industrial societies is four years old. Child
laborers can be said to rarely interact with parents or families because of the long hours
they spend at their low-wage job compared to the elderly, who also receive low wages. I
can say that there is no proper pay for child labor or even for the elderly, which is why
they remain at the bottom or in poverty while those at the top continue to rise. They are
also placed in dangerous areas where the machines or things they use are bigger than they
are.

3. What invention should be not invented? Explain your answer.

 The robotic shaving arms, which is a robot that shaves a person's face, armpits,
and legs, is an invention that should not have been invented. This is not an
important invention to me because it is still more convenient for us to shave with
our hands because we can do it whenever we want.
4. How do you imagine the present world to be without scientific discoveries?
 Without scientific discoveries, the world would come to an end because everything we
have around us or that helps us get through each day is influenced by science. Without it,
there is no human growth, no technological advancement, and no understanding of how
to improve or develop things so that we can have the world we have today. According to
Unesco (2021), science has made significant contributions to living a longer life, to
health, to basic needs such as food, to the energy we receive, to sports, music, and
technology.

5. What invention should be invented that could change the world? Explain your answer.

 Green technology, in my personal view, will have a big change in the world because of
the effects of modern technologies or innovations are currently devastating our nature or
the environment, as well as our world and each individual’s health. Here, wastewater or
waste materials can be used to generate electricity, and discarded plastics are used to
pave roads and sidewalks. According to TECAM (2019), other examples of achieving
green technology are the elimination of industrial emissions, self-sufficient buildings,
vehicles that do not emit gases, harnessing solar energy, vertical gardens or farms, and
natural gas boilers.
