In televised remarks from the East Room of the White House, the president praised what he called
Kavanaugh's "impeccable credentials, unsurpassed qualifications and a proven commitment to equal
justice under the law."
"There is no one in America more qualified for this position, and no one more deserving," Trump said.
BREAKING: @POTUS announces Brett Kavanaugh as his new Supreme Court nominee.
— Fox News (@FoxNews) July 10, 2018
Kavanaugh had been considered a front-runner ever since Kennedy's June 27 retirement announcement.
Trump conducted a swift and decisive vetting process, eager to push for confirmation of his second
Supreme Court pick in less than two years.
Though the president said Monday his nominee deserves "robust bipartisan support," many Democratic
lawmakers had vowed even before the announcement to oppose Trump's choice. In his own remarks,
Kavanaugh looked ahead to what's expected to be a bruising confirmation fight: "I will tell each senator
that I revere the Constitution. I believe that an independent judiciary is the crown jewel of our
constitutional republic.”
Judge Kavanaugh has won the respect of his peers in the legal community and demonstrates a firm
understanding of the role of a judge in our republic. I look forward to meeting w/ him and to the Senate’s
thorough consideration of his nomination.
— Leader McConnell (@SenateMajLdr) July 10, 2018
"If confirmed by the Senate, I will keep an open mind in every case, and I will always strive to preserve
the Constitution of the United States and the American rule of law."
He said a judge "must interpret the law, not make the law."
Judge Kavanaugh is a man of great integrity, intellect and reverence for the laws and Constitution of the
United States. The US Senate should move swiftly to confirm Judge Kavanaugh as the newest justice to
the SCOTUS!
A clue to Kavanaugh’s nomination emerged hours before the announcement when the D.C. Circuit Court
of Appeals issued a written opinion in which the judge sided with the majority. The D.C. court does not
typically issue opinions on Mondays except in response to emergency petitions, suggesting the case had
to be disposed of before Kavanaugh was nominated for the high court.
In the hours leading up to Trump's announcement, crowds of pro-choice and pro-life protesters gathered
outside the Supreme Court building. Some chanted "Kavanaugh has got to go" as news of the nomination
spread through the crowd. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., spoke to the crowd and led an anti-Kavanaugh
chant, though her own words were drowned out by protesters.

Very few times I’ve felt threatened while out in the field. The mood here tonight is very volatile. Law
enforcement appears to be closing 1st Street in front of SCOTUS.
Kavanaugh has a deep judicial record, having written about 300 opinions.
A former law clerk to Kennedy in 1993, he was elevated to the powerful federal appeals court in the
District of Columbia by President George W. Bush, under whom he had served as a White House lawyer
and staff secretary. Kavanaugh, 53, also won the confidence of key players in the Bush circle such as
strategist Karl Rove.
Kavanaugh was nominated to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals by his former boss, George W. Bush, in
2006.
This, however, had risked being something of a double-edged sword for Kavanaugh in the Trump era,
raising concerns among some Trump supporters that he was too much of a D.C. insider and too closely
associated with the Bush circle.
The Bush connections also harmed him with Democrats at the time of his initial nomination, who delayed
his confirmation. But despite the criticism, he wore his support for Bush on his sleeve. It remains to be
seen if those ties will complicate his confirmation process now -- both with Democrats and Trump’s base.
In a statement, Bush said Trump had made an "outstanding decision" in nominating Kavanaugh.
"Brett is a brilliant jurist who has faithfully applied the Constitution and laws throughout his 12 years on
the D.C. Circuit. He is a fine husband, father, and friend – and a man of the highest integrity. He will make
a superb Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States."
Excellent choice for SCOTUS. Judge Kavanaugh will be a strong defender of the Constitution.
In a 2011 case, Kavanaugh acknowledged in his dissent that the Affordable Care Act’s “individual
mandate provision” could fit “comfortably within Congress’ Taxing Clause power.” His detractors say that
language helped provide the road map for the Supreme Court to uphold the mandate a year later.
Esteemed by his colleagues, faithful to the Constitution, a record of thoughtful decisions, and already
confirmed for the DC Circuit; Brett Kavanaugh has the right stuff.
It’s also unclear how Kavanaugh would rule on abortion, as he has never directly confronted the issue as
a judge. Last year, Kavanaugh dissented from a decision allowing an illegal immigrant to receive an

abortion, but pro-life conservatives have criticized him for not going far enough. Specifically, they have
expressed concern about language where Kavanaugh wrote “the unlawful immigrant minor is assumed to
have a right under precedent to an abortion.”
Protesters gathered outside the Supreme Court in Washington before and after Trump's pick was
announced.
The administration announced earlier Monday that former Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona would guide the
nominee through the Senate confirmation process. Before retiring in 2013, Kyl was a member of the
Senate Judiciary Committee, which will be the first to consider the nomination. The White House hopes
Kyl’s close ties to Senate Republicans will help smooth the path for Kavanaugh.
In addition, the conservative group Judicial Crisis Network will launch a $1.4 million ad buy in support of
Kavanaugh, running advertisements in Alabama, Indiana, North Dakota, and West Virginia – states with
Democratic senators on the fence about supporting Trump’s nominee.
Tell your senators to hold the line. Tell them to refuse to hold a hearing. Tell them not to confirm anyone
until after the midterm elections – when we can recommend a bipartisan nominee. Call, and don’t stop
calling. There’s too much at stake not to raise your voice right now.
"If Americans believe in a woman's right to make her own reproductive choices, and that health insurance
companies shouldn't be able to charge people more based on pre-existing conditions, now is the time to
fight," Schumer said. "I’m calling on Americans from all walks of life to make their voices heard from now
until the end of this battle."
A senior White House source told Fox News that five Democratic senators – Judiciary Committee ranking
member Dianne Feinstein, Joe Donnelly of Indiana, Doug Jones of Alabama, Heidi Heitkamp of North
Dakota and Joe Manchin of West Virginia – were invited to attend the nomination announcement. All five
declined.
President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh will be a rubber-stamp for an extreme, right-
wing agenda pushed by corporations and billionaires. We must mobilize the American people to defeat
Trump’s right-wing, reactionary nominee.
Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, seen as most likely among
Republicans to consider voting against a Trump nomination, also declined invitations to attend.

President Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court on Monday, July 9th, 2018, just days
after Justice Kennedy announced his retirement. Outside of the Supreme Court building that night, there were plenty
of protesters awaiting the announcement and ready to oppose the president’s choice. The left dislikes Brett
Kavanaugh simply because President Trump nominated him. During the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings a few
weeks ago, there were over 70 people arrested for disruption and protesting in the Judicial Committee Meeting
Room.
Who is Brett Kavanaugh? Brett Kavanaugh graduated from Yale Law School in 1993, and later, a law clerk
to former Justice Kennedy, who just retired. In June of 2006, Brett Kavanaugh was promoted to the District of
Columbia Court of Federal Appeals, also known as the D.C. Circuit, by President George W. Bush. Currently, Brett
Why wouldn’t Brett Kavanaugh be the best pick? Kavanaugh graduated from one of the best law schools in
the country, Yale University. He was a former clerk to his successor, Justice Kennedy. Kavanaugh has served on the
D.C. Federal Court of Appeals for years now, and has written over 300 opinions. Also, most of Brett Kavanaugh’s
colleagues have put in a good word, saying he has the “right stuff.”
President Trump states, “There is no one in America more qualified for the position, and no one more
deserving.” Brett Kavanaugh believes, “an independent judiciary is the crown jewel of our constitutional republic,”
He is saying that the Supreme Court, the Judicial Branch, should rule justly, not on personal or political views. In

other words, there should be no party divide in a court. “A judge must interpret the law, not make the law,”
Kavanaugh states.
Why does the left dislike Brett Kavanaugh? Obviously because Trump nominated Kavanaugh, and
anything Trump does, the left will oppose - most of the time.
In response to hatred leading opinion, the left will do anything to spread rubbish on Kavanaugh’s record.
For instance, Kamala Harris tweeted this on September 8th. (Video) Now look at what Kavanaugh really said. (Full

Recently, Diane Feinstein, a Judiciary Committee Democrat, received a letter from an anonymous former
Highschool classmate of Brett Kavanaugh. This woman states Kavanaugh almost raped her at a party 36 years ago.
Kavanaugh denies the claims and says he never went to a party as described in the writing. This week, the writer
made herself know, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Is this woman credible? We don’t really know. Keep in mind, this
happened 36 years ago. Over time, the human mind is unreliable with recall, especially something that happened 36
years ago. The woman also cannot remember other people who attended this party. Perhaps Ford may have mistaken
the identity of Kavanaugh for someone else? Christine Ford told no one about these claims, until now three decades
later. That is a little suspicious. Also, Ford acknowledges she did drink that night. Might that have affected her
Anyway, why did Ford bring this case up over three decades later? Many people think she released this
information now because of her liberal views. Did she release this letter to try and stop the Trump Administration by
some means? Could her political views have an influence on her written accounts too? Those could all be
possibilities but cannot be proven unless she testifies and answers these questions.
Even though Ford sent the letter decades later, Feinstein received this letter in July. She decided to wait
until the week of the confirmation vote to announce this issue to the public. Why did she not ask about the letter
during the hearings or in the meetings she held with Kavanaugh? This allegation is aimed to take down Brett
Kavanaugh’s reputation. Kavanaugh will testify under oath in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee next Monday.

Dr. Ford declined to attend and testify unless the FBI investigates her claims. Without POTUS’s recommendation,
the FBI refuses to pick up this case because the allegations are not a federal crime.
All of this is to stall and try to derail the Supreme Court Nomination for Brett Kavanaugh.
Before this incident even broke, a woman named Karen Monahan claimed that her former boyfriend, Keith
Ellison, physically abused her. This woman presented evidence, actual evidence: medical records and therapy notes.
At two of her doctor exams, she told and showed her doctor physical bruises on her body. The left will not hold
Keith Ellison accountable. According to a tweet from Karen Monahan, “I’ve been smeared, threatened, isolated
from my own party.” Is Ellison off the hook for what he did? Now Keith Ellison, the abuser, is running for attorney
general for his state Minnesota. Should he even be permitted to run for office after what he has done?
Then we have “Spartacus.” (Video) Corey Booker, claims to have had confidential emails Brett Kavanaugh
had shared with other government officials. The emails once remained confidential but declassified the night before
Booker said he would release some emails. He lied saying the emails were confidential, but to all truth, they were
not anymore. Remember, these emails had already been clear for release the night before. The emails Booker
released had nothing bad in them. Anyhow, did you hear what else he said? He gave himself his own nickname!
Is Brett Kavanaugh evil as the Democrats portray he is? No, he is a kind Christian. One of Brett
Kavanaugh’s daughter’s friend’s dad died, and the daughter had no one to go to the Father Daughter Dance with.
That is where Brett Kavanaugh stepped up. Brett Kavanaugh has taken his daughters, along with the friend who lost
her father, to the dance each year since. Another way Kavanaugh shows selflessness, he claims the “Judge” title
always belonged to his mother, who was also a judge. Brett Kavanaugh has done more than I have time to explain.
No matter what anyone could say, the left will not give up their phony beliefs of Brett Kavanaugh. Brett
Kavanaugh is a great person and the most qualified person for the Supreme Court. Kamala Harris tried to frame him
with a small video edit, but luckily that was caught. The Ford allegations were aimed to destroy Brett Kavanaugh’s
life and reputation. Plus, because of these allegations and the testifying of Brett Kavanaugh event on Monday, the
confirmation vote, which was supposed to be going on now, has been postponed till this misconduct
has been taken care of. The date is unclear. The left got what they wanted, the stalling and maybe even derailing the
