ABSTRACT
In sand mining activities often the method that is often used is open pit mining,
this mining method will cause the formation of large basins so that it has the potential to
become a water reservoir area, both from surface runoff water and groundwater. This
study aims to analyze the influence of topography on runoff water discharge and the
effect of runoff water discharge on mining activities. based on the results of research on
the topography of the mining area is very influential on the amount of runoff water
discharge that appears during rain, such as the area of catchment area that depends on
the shape of the topographic of the run off waterway and topography is also a major
factor determining the timing of rainwater concentration. From the calculation of the
amount of runoff water discharge with rainfall intensity of 2,097,524 mm / hour, and the
catchment area analyzed using arcgis 10.8 software is 4.6 hectares. So the large amount
of runoff water discharge that enters by 24,141 m 3 / second This runoff water discharge
greatly affects the mining activity process where the lack of attention and handling of
runoff water such as making drainage and settling ponds that are not in accordance with
feasibility standards results in inundations on the mining front and interferes with
production activities, especially heavy equipment performance. It is also recommended
to make a settling pond on the condition that the volume of the settling pond must be
greater than ± 15% of the volume of runoff water entering so as not to overflow with the
target of the large volume of runoff water discharge entering at 8 working hours of
695.256 m3.

INTISARI
software arcgis 10.8 sebesar 4,6 hektar.
aktivitas produksi utamanya kinerja alat berat.
