Teen wolf teenager series an introduction:
Teen Wolf was an MTV tv show that aired from 2011 – 2017
and had 100 episodes over its 6 season run. The show was
(Clearly) about werewolves, who are teenagers, (For the
most part). The series had a large cast and the show has
somewhat of a cult following on social media. A decision
had been made to end the show after the 6th season with
the 100th episode being its last, at least, for now. There is
always discussions around whether or not the show is going
to come back for a 7th season. (I personally would like a 7th,
but only with the full cast).
The show goes through the entirety of high school
for the teenage cast members, so the 6 seasons
take place over about 3 years. We have multiple
mythical creatures throughout the run of the
show, with the likes of werewolves, kitsune,
kanima, werecoyote, the wild hunt and nogitsune.
If you are someone who is interested in that type
of thing, this show is definitely for you, it has a
great cast and solid storyline amongst many other
things. But that is not enough to be able to review
a show enough, we need to look more in-depth
with some of the key aspects of this show
Acting:
The show starred Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, Dylan O’Brien as
Stiles Stilinski, Crystal Reed as Allison Argent, Holland Roden as
Lydia Martin, Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale and Linden Ashby as
Sheriff Stilinski, amongst another 4/5 actors. This show had a
massive cast and overall, I have to say they did an amazing job,
I loved each and every cast member with of course some more
than others, but lets’ look a bit more in-depth of some of the
above actors and how Teen Wolf had the capability to launch
their careers!
Tyler Posey was in many ways the main character of the
show, he became the ‘first’ teen wolf and is someone
who the show pivots around for a majority of its time on
air. We are able to see his acting ability, but in all honesty
this ability improves as the show goes on, at the
beginning it was not as good at all and was rather
mundane and for him to be able to express emotion in an
adequate manner took time. But, he was solid and the
show really was based around his friendship with Stiles
for more or less the first 5 seasons of the show! We
begin with Scott as an unimpressive High School
Sophomore(?), but it ends with him being a True Alpha
on his way to college! This was a great accomplishment
and showed that Tyler had the ability to lead a show.
Why it’s a Cult Hit:
The show is loved by fans and when I look back on it, I think the
show is a hit for quite a few reasons, with the biggest one being
the fact that the show did not deviate from its beginnings!
Throughout the show we of course have different actors, but
overall, they keep the same dynamic, if they lost a male or
female character, they were replaced prior to their loss for the
most part and it meant that the voice they gave was never
missing!

Conclusion:
The ending of this show was purposely left ambiguous to
enable the show to return as either a spin-off or a 7th season.
But at the same time, due to this, a lot fans felt cheated out in
the finale. But why? The main villain of the 6th season survived,
due to this the show did not get the full circle ending that I
know some fans were hoping for. Since we had been through
so much watching the show and for all of its ups and downs, it
was loved by those who watched it, so much so, that they are
all still asking for it to come back over 3 years later! I think due
to how the show ended and without being cruel, the non-
success of some of the former leads means the show could
easily return for a final set of say 10-12 episodes to wrap up the
story in a manner that would satisfy everyone involved!
