15-9-22 Practical:Diffusion Thursday

1. Objective:
 To learn how process of diffusion happens.
 To learn how particles follow the Brownian motion.
2. Requirement:
 Take a glass of water.
 Take a ink pen filled with black colour of ink.
3. Procedure:
 Take the ink pen in your hand.
 Pour two drops of ink in the glass filled with water.
 Observe what happens to the particles when they diffuses into the water.
4. Observation:
 I observe that the particles inside the ink when dissolves into the water, particles
moved from high concentration and they starts to strike the wall of the glass and
created a concentration gradient. It was the net movement of particles from high
concentration to the lower concentration as it starts to follow the Brownian motion
and eventually starts to diffuses into the water.
5. Conclusion/Result:
 In my conclusion, after 20 minutes, the particles were eventually spread throughout
the glass and moved from the high concentration to the lower concentration which
is called the process of Diffusion.
