Introduction
A healthcare team is made up of various health care workers who provide care to a
patient either in or out of a hospital. This team includes physicians, nurses, dentists, and
nurses among others (Taplin, Foster, and Shortell, 2013) I currently work as a member of a
healthcare team. The number of people on a health care team is determined by the ailment of
the patient. All the members of the team are required to work together.
The first thing I would do is to encourage communication to be done in such a way that all
the health care team members are comfortable sharing their ideas. The second thing would be
to have a clear definition of responsibilities for all the health care team members so that
everyone knows what is expected of them. The third thing would be to encourage the quick
resolution of any conflict that could arise within the team so as to prevent communication
breakdowns and division within the team (Taplin, Foster, and Shortell, 2013)
approached correctly, will allow the healthcare team to be able to adjust appropriately to the
changes that come its way. I will encourage every individual participant of the healthcare
team to consider the well-being of their fellow members. This can be done by making sure
that every member of the healthcare team is content in their work setting.
Conclusion
A successful healthcare team can only be successful if they are able to work together
as a team since each member has a role to play. Each member of the healthcare team has a
unique set of skills that they will contribute to the team. Collaboration is important since
healthcare is more complex and medical personnel is required to learn new methods of
