Where to Start
● Start broad;
○ Look for broad biographies of your authors on mainstream
sites like wikipedia.org & britannica.com.
● Go deeper with some more concentrated searching;
○ For example, if you want to find out about your author’s
religious background, search ‘Brothers Grimm religion’, or if
you want to know about their broader societal context,
search ‘German society 1800s’.
○ This may seem super obvious to you, but to do this well &
create a podcast that isn’t boring & that doesn’t just
regurgitate basic facts you need to go below surface level.
