2. Directions
To ensure that students will be on the right track, students are required to complete and submit the
book in two phases. Students are required to submit (by posting them onto the course’s Turnitin in
Moodle) each of the two phases in accordance with the schedule described in the following section.
Although Phase One will not be graded, each late submission will result in a 10% deduction from the
score of your final report.
3. Presentation
Each group will do a 20-minute presentation on Nov 20, 2023, followed by a 5-10 minute Q&A
session. The presentation will involve two main parts: (1) Storytelling of the book, and (2) Reflection
or report on the process of completing the project.
Guiding questions
Content
• Is the content appropriate for the target readers? Is it easy to comprehend?
• Is the language appropriate for the target readers? Is it clear and interesting? Is it free from
grammatical error?
• Can your writings convey the messages you intend?
• How is the translation? Is it accurate and appropriate? Is there any discrepancy between the
two versions?
• How is the title? Would it be too broad or too specific? Can it attract your target readers to
pick up the book?
Design
• How do the multimedia elements contribute to the book? Can they really help? How do they
fit into the content of the book?
• How are the illustrations like pictures, and graphics? Are they attractive and appropriate?
• Is the overall layout of the book appropriate? For example, does it begin with a content page?
Is it divided into various sections? Is the translation interwoven or are the two versions
separated? Which is more suitable?
Report
• Does the report include all the necessary information (e.g. the link to access the digital book
of your group, references you used, target readers and age groups, and the labour division
form)?
• Does the report state clearly what target readers can learn from the book?
• Does the report provide theories and/or best practices the group has used in completing the
project?
• Does the report contain information on the difficulties the group has met in the project and
how did the group overcome them?
• Report presentation – Was it a well-written logically organized project? Is it easy for readers
to understand your work? Does the report exceed the length limit? Are ideas clearly presented?
Does the report contain many mistakes in language?
Academic Integrity
