Interphase 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, During interphase, the cell grows, obtains nutrients, replicates its

carried in the nucleus of a parent cell into two identical daughter cells, the cell's
chromosomes align themselves in the middle of the cell. The chromosomes,
which have been replicated and remain joined at a central point called the
centromere, are called sister chromatids.

Anaphase 7, 9 During anaphase, the sister chromatids separate from each other and are pulled
towards opposite ends of the cell. The protein that holds the sister chromatids
together is broken down, allowing them to separate. Each is now its own
chromosome. The chromosomes of each pair are pulled towards opposite ends
 of the cell.

Telophase 3, 12 At telophase, the chromosomes continue to move until they are completely

separated, and two sets of nuclei are formed.
