81ST FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION

GENERAL CONTEST RULES

• The competition is open to all bona fide students enrolled in the basic, undergraduate and graduate
school.
• The following are prohibited:
o Use of Fire, pyrotechnics and other hazardous and similar props or any fire related
performance.
o Performance that may damage school property
o Performances which may cause physical harm to any performer
o Morally offensive or profane acts, music, or language in the performances or portions
thereof:
• Performers are required to be on the venue 60 Minutes before the start of the program.
• All materials needed by the performer should be provided by the performer
• Music or things that will be needed by the performer should be ready and available 60 minutes before
the performance.
• Each participating college should provide one person to secure the technical needs of the performer
like music or lights, apparatuses or any materials that has to be prepared or used.
• No profanity, No nudity, No vulgar costumes to be used.
• Participants, Working Committees and Assistants are the only persons allowed backstage and other
individual with passes.
• Protests and questions will be entertained only if it is in written form addressed to the Committee
Chairman
• Each representative must undergo to the committee screening for safety measure and limitation
purposes
• Judges decision is final and irrevocable. Questions after the competition will not be entertained
unless it is in written form.

Snap Photo Contest


1. The contest is open to all students of the institution
2. Each department shall submit one entry for each of the four categories:
a. Opening Program
b. Street HipHop Dance Competition
c. NC Scenery
3. Photo enhancements are not allowed
4. Submit your entries in a photo paper eight (8) inches by eleven (11) inches in size and in electronic
format soft copy to validate that there are no enhancements
5. Entries must be submitted to the OSCA

6. Entries will become the property of the institution
7. The criteria are as follows:
a. Relevance to the theme 25
b. Technical excellence 25
c. Originality 20
d. Composition 15
e. Artistic Merit 15

Street Dance Competition


1. The contest is open to all students of the institution
2. Each group/college must have a representative. Comprising of minimum of five (5) and a maximum
of ten (10) dancers.
3. The routine must not be less than three (3) minutes and not more than five (5) minutes. Excess time
is 1 point deduction per minute.
4. The genre of dance is open to HipHop, Pop and Contemporary Dance genre or mix of the three.
5. Timing begins with the first beat of sounds and ends with the last audible sound.
6. Performers should wear clothing that reflects the character and style of the performance provided it
is not offensive or out of character
7. Props may be used as long as they do not delay the performance, destroy the stage set-up nor harm
the members
8. Dangerous acrobatics and stunts and use of fire are not allowed to avoid accident on the part of the
performers
9. The organizer has the right to stop the performance if any of the safety mechanics were violated by
the participants
10. The criteria for judging are as follows:
a. Choreography, interpretation and originality 45%
b. Execution, connection and synchronization 35%
c. Costume and props 10%
d. Overall impact 10%

FOUNDATION VIDEO TEASER
Guidelines and Mechanics

1. The competition aims to showcase the beauty and the development it has despite the pandemic.
The video should show and capture the resiliency, positive behavior and expressions and the joy of
being an NCnian.
2. The contest is open to all department/colleges of the institution and each department/college must
have one entry.
3. Each participating team/entry should submit a duly filled up entry form endorsed by the governor,
adviser and the dean of the department.

4. Entries should be original. In accordance to the copyright laws, music used in an entry must be
original, licensed or in the public domain (ask permission from the composer).
5. Video resolution should be at least 720p (1280x720), 25fps frame rate.
6. Entries should not contain any offensive or inappropriate language, image and/or content. Animation
films are strongly discouraged. The video should be appropriate for general viewership.
7. All entries shall be considered property of the institution and will have the exclusive rights to publish.
8. Participants should create an original audio visual presentation with a maximum of one minute using
any video-making software (Moviemaker, Pinnacle Studio, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Sony
Vegas, etc.) The video should consist of copyright-free pictures, videos and music.
9. Videos should be submitted in DVD Playback format.

SINGING COMPETITION

1. The singing competition is divided into two categories: Solo and Singing Competition.
2. Each department shall have one entry per category.
3. Solo Singing participants must adhere to the following mechanics:
a. The piece must be Pop or Moving Song (Songs that artist sings in their concert like Single
Ladies by Beyonce and Hataw Na by Gary V.)
b. Sing and dance act, no backup dancers allowed
c. Rendition must be limited to five (5) minutes only
d. The participant shall be accompanied by a minus-one CD, which may or may not have
backup singers. The CD must contain only the minus-one audio file of the song needed for
the contestant.
e. Each participant will be judged according to the following criteria:
i. Tone Quality 40%
ii. Interpretation/Delivery/Dynamics 40%
iii. Stage presence (deportment/bearing/discipline) 20%

4. Duet Singing will be judged according to the following mechanics:
a. The piece can be selected from 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s era

b. English or Filipino songs is allowed.
c. Rendition must be limited to five (5) minutes only
d. The participant shall be accompanied by a minus-one CD, which may or may not have
backup singers. The CD must contain only the minus-one audio file of the song needed for
the contestant.
e. Each participants will be judge according to the following criteria:
i. Tone Quality/Harmony 40%
ii. Interpretation/Delivery/Dynamics 40%
iii. Stage presence (deportment/bearing/discipline) 20%

MECHANICS:
1. GALLERY WALK (DEPARTMENTAL BOOTH)
• Open to all bonafide students of Northeastern College;
• Open to all tertiary departments and Basic Education Center and;

• Each participant shall create and decorate a booth that represents and promote their Departments;
• There is no limit to the working team but must be enrolled to the degree program or course they are
representing;
• Usage of any kind of materials for booth making is allowed but must be free from hazardous materials
such as pins and pointed objects;
• Selling products is allowed inside the booth but must not obligate buyers such as students or member
of the organizations, and clubs’ officers just to attain high income, the booth that will be caught
cheating or doing unrighteous act will be terminated and disqualified for the final judgement;
• The booth must contain achievements such as plaques, trophies or certificate;
• The decision of the Board of Judges is FINAL and IRREVOCABLE.

The photo/video of all the winners will be uploaded to the Facebook page of Northeastern College’s
Student’s Supreme Council and will receive a certificate and a cash prize.

MECHANICS:
2. BEE MINTER: NCNIAN QUIZ BEE 2022
• Open to all bonafide students of Northeastern College;
• Open to all tertiary departments and Basic Education Center (Grade 7- 12);
• Only one (1) team per department and each team must have of five (5) participants.
• The contest will be divided into three (3) rounds: the Easy, Average and Difficult round.
• Competitors must be officially enrolled for the first semester of school year 2022-2023;
• Clarifications regarding the rules of the competition shall be entertained by the Committee before the
start of the contest.
• Duly accomplished form (forms available at SSC office);

• Photocopy of C.O.R of first semester school year 2022-2023;
• The decision of the Board of Judges is FINAL and IRREVOCABLE.

The photo/video of all the winners will be uploaded to the Facebook page of Northeastern College’s Student’s
Supreme Council and will receive a certificate and a cash prize.

GUIDELINES: BEE MINTER: NCNIANS QUIZ BEE 2022


• Cellular or mobile phone are not allowed during the competition;
• The quiz bee shall cover General Information including Current Issues, Science and the institution’s
History and events;
• The Easy round consists ten (10) questions, two (2) points per question. The Average round consists
ten (10) questions, (3) points per question. The Difficult round consists five (5) questions, five (5)
points per question;
• Each question shall be given a predetermined points corresponding to its round;
• The questions must be read twice by the Quiz Master while the questions is being flashed on a
screen for the contestants to see. Afterwards, the Quiz Master will give a go signal, only then the
contestants may start writing their answers on the provided boards, at the same time the start of the
countdown timer. Each team is given ten (10) seconds to answer the questions. All teams should
raise their pens and show their final answers after the time allotted for the specific questions. Failure
to do so will signal a warning;
• The Quiz Master must read and verify the group answer;
• In case of tie, another question will be given;
• Wrong spelling is wrong;
• No questions shall be entertained during the contest proper;
• Misbehavior of an individual contestant during contest is a sufficient condition for disqualification.

LARO NG LAHI
GENERAL MECHANICS
• Each Department/team should have representative in every activity.
• Each Department/team should submit their Photocopy of Certificate of Registration or COR and
duly accomplished form (forms available at SSC Office), which signify their department of team.
• layers with no photo copy of their COR are not allowed to play the activity.
• Each Participants must be a bonafide student of Northeastern College and currently enrolled this
first semester S.Y. 2022-2023.
• Failure to complete the required number of members will have no entry in any category of Laro ng
Lahi.
• Each Department/team should have a team captain but it’s not allowed to play the game or any
activity.
• Each Department/team should use their yell before and after the game. (5 – 10 seconds yell only)

• Have no neither physical disabilities nor respiratory problems (safety first) All players must wear
jogging pants, t-shirts according to the color of their team and rubber shoes.
• The mechanics of each game of Laro ng Lahi shall be discussed by the facilitator-in-charge.
• The must convene at the school ground at 1:00 pm for the orientation.
• Failure to comply the General Mechanics the Department/team will be disqualified in the particular
activity.

GENERAL DEMERITS AND DISQUALIFICATION


• Failure to comply the given Mechanics will lead to disqualification.
• Failure to submit the requirements on the stipulated date and time shall be disqualified;
• Failure to comply in the General Mechanics shall have two (2) points deduction each in their total
score.
• Non-conformity to the above rules would mean disqualification.
