FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT TASK 1-PART 1
I. Business Summary
Our product is a new innovative project that helps our environment. The concept is not
exactly new. Eco-Utensils are a more sustainable option than single-use plastic. They
disintegrate naturally, return to nature safely, and are made entirely of natural bamboo
wood. We innovate disposable bamboo utensils currently on the market by putting
some seeds at the end of the cutlery, which the customers can bring to their homes
and plant seeds. We prioritize having an eco-friendly product to prevent plastic waste
and environmental pollution and use plastic eating utensils. Our product eco- plantable
utensils are sure to help to regain our healthy environment.
II. What is UN SDG?
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals describe the kind of world we want
to live in. This group was established in order to ensure that no one is left behind, and
it also serves as the development organization that the governments of each nation
lead.
III. UN SDG that fits our business
As our product is an ecofriendly disposable utensil made of bamboo wood with seed,
the UN SDG that we think is fit for our product are life on land and climate action.
IV.Main UN SDG Focus
Our main UN SDG focus for our product is life on land, why? Our product was created
for its main purpose in planting the seed after its usage. Life on land according to UN
SDG is that SDG 15 seeks to protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of
terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, halt and reverse land degradation,
combat desertification and halt biodiversity loss.
V. HMW Statement
How might we innovate a product for people to sustain a healthy life on land and aid
environmental problems?

Statement of the Problem- When the Philippines uses 45.2 billion plastic per day.
Suppose 30% of these are plastic utensils; that would be 13,560,000 per day. Improper
wastes disposal, inefficient wastes collection and lack of disposal facilities are among
the dominant concerns in the country's solid waste management occurs, the students
and workers have problems. Because of this, they feel frustration and consciousness,
then experience decrease plastic waste, increase production rate, and increase
utilization. Currently, they use stainless-steel cutlery, recycled plastics, use it for
Christmas decoration, and using recycled papers despite Using stainless steel during
pandemic is not advisable because of some health risks and recycling for seasonal
decoration will eventually turn into waste.

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT TASK 1-PART 2

HMW Statements
How might we design a product for our users so that they can properly help our
environment just by using disposable utensils?
How might we create ecologically friendly cutlery for students studying in
environmentally conscientious institutions of higher learning in order to reduce the
usage of plastic?
How might we conceive a plantable utensils for the customers so that they will be able
to help our mother nature in this time of pandemic?
How might we innovate disposable wood utensils for people so they will be encouraged
to help the environment and stop using disposable plastic utensils?
How might we create a product that our user can use in alternative of disposable plastic
utensils that can help the foundation of our life on this planet?
How might we design a product that will benefit our consumers while minimizing
environmental impact?
How might we afflatus and dole out our product for our users to be able for them to
use it to protect, promote, to desertification, and halt of biodiversity loss?

XII. Zen Statement

Eco plantable utensils are natural bamboo wood that integrates naturally and securely
returns to nature. We create disposable bamboo utensils by adding seeds, which clients
may plant at home. Our target market is proprietors with small cuisine establishments
serving middle-class food around Cavite. For the sake of the environment, we prefer to
utilize wooden cutlery and other eco-friendly products rather than disposable plastic
ones. Unlike other biodegradable utensils, we innovate by putting some plant seeds.
