METHODOLOGY

Material and Methods : Research Methodology refers to the principles and ideas
on which researcher decide their procedures and strategies . Methodology is the
most important part of research study
This chapter deals with the description of research apparoach,research
design,variables of study,population,sample size,sample technique,sample
criteria,devolopement and description of the tool,data analysis34-35
The study aimed to find out the knowledge regarding menopausal complications
among rural people in Andra Pradesh

RESEARCH APPROACH : The quantitive research evaluation approach will be


used for the present
RESEARCH DESIGN :Pre experimental one group pre test and post test
design will be adopted for the study
VARIABLES :Independent variables – structured Teaching
Programme on menopausal complications
Dependent Variables :Knowledge of rural people regarding menopausal
Complications
Extraneous variables :Age,Education,Occupation,Type of Family,Family
Income.etc,
SETTING :The study will be conducted in selected areas
at Andra Pradesh
POPULATION :The population of the study will be rural people

SAMPLING

SAMPLE : The rural people in rural area.

SAMPLE SIZE : . The sample size is around 60 rural people in areas,


at Andhra Pradesh.
SAMPLE TECHNIQUE : Convenient sample technique will be used to select
the sample .
SAMPLING CRITERIA :

Inclusive criteria : 1. Rural people who can understand Telugu .


2. Rural people who are willing to participate in the
study .
Exclusive Criteria :Rural people who are not available at the time of data
collection.

DEVELOPMENT AND DESCRIPTION OF TOOL :


Through review of literature , suggestion from guide and experts help in selection
of content for developing the tool .

Part - 1: It consists of demographic variables such as Age, Education,


Occupation, Type of family, family income, etc.
Part - 2: It consist of knowledge questions regarding menopausal.

PLAN FOR METHODOLOGY PRESENTATION :


The investigator has planned for the methodology presentation in the month of

DATA COLLECTION METHOD :


Data will be collected after obtained prior permission from the authorities and with
the consent from the subjects who will be available at the time of data collection.
the structured interview schedule will be data from subjects.
PLAN FOR THE DATA COLLECTION ANALYSIS : Following methods will be
used for data collection.

SECTION-1: Frequency and percentage will be analyse selected


demographic variables and knowledge items.
SECTION-2: Mean and standard deviation will be used to assess
the knowledge scores.
SECTION-3: Z-call test will be used to know the relationship between pre
and post test scores
Section -4: Chi-square test will be used to find out the association
between
knowledge scores with selected demographic variables.
