1. I believe communication is one of the foundations that act as a tool to express our
thoughts, ideas, and feelings to others. Communication becomes purposive when it
connects people’s ideas, thoughts, and feelings towards each other and would bring a
productive outcome. Communication is very important in such aspect especially for me as a
student. For some instance, like in school, communication is needed for me to learn
something and obtain much knowledge about things through having a conversation with my
teachers as well as with my classmates. As a student, I must know and practice about
communication and its principle in order for me to be prepared enough for the next level of
my journey as an individual. Moreover, communication on the other hand, is also very
significant when you are in the workplace. When the boss or the manager gives a task to
the employees, good communication is needed for them to connect each other; hence
employees will quickly understand and respond to the employer's instructions, especially if
the manager communicates effectively with them. Another instance that considers
communication a purposive is when you say something to a person either through texting or
in person. In that way you can express your feelings towards that person and might as well
replies to you. In that sense, communication is purposeful in a way that it allows people to
convey a message and share it from one person to another that will create a stronger
relationship, teamwork, peaceful and harmonious environment. That what makes a
communication purposive.

2. The Covid-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented global threat that necessitates
critical reflection and new knowledge development, as well as immediate response despite
existing knowledge gaps and multilevel uncertainty. With regard to this concern, research
plays a vital role to help address or at least de-escalate the threat of the situation. One of
the scenarios that will prove research being helpful and relevant in this time of pandemic is
the invention of vaccines to stop the virus from spreading. Researchers/Scientists did lots of
thorough research and experiments to make a vaccine that helps keep the situation from
getting worse and worse. Second thing is, making research on how to avoid from getting
infected by the virus aside from getting vaccinated. There are lots of information you can
get from the internet on how to avoid being infected. One of those is the guidelines from
Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) which are wear mask and/or face shields, avoid crowded
places, stay at home if no necessities to go out, and many more. Third thing is, doing a
research to get updated from the situation of pandemic. You can watch some updates or
news through social medias and other communication media. During this time of pandemic,
you should always be updated in your situation inside and outside of your home. Research
is very helpful for us especially in time of crisis. It can even save us from harm and put our
life into secure. Research won’t cost you a sweat, why not do some research?
