    Leizu saw a cocoon made from a long thread and discovered that they could be used in as fabric in the

    making of clothing. This became a valued commodity in China which was kept undisclosed to the outside
    world for 1000 years however it managed to lead to other countries in Africa, Europe as well as the
    Middle East where it was used as a precious commodity of trade and even for religious purposes. It was
    also used to replace money as a medium for exchange.
