The present study seeks to examine the internet penetration and growth across the world
and to look for the reasons of its disproportionate penetration distribution. The study shall

penetration, with an individual penetration percentage of 96.90%, 96.55% & 95.30%
respectively. Internet penetration on average has grown at 12.60% annually during the last
decade, which means by the turn of the year 2020, 76.90% of the global population will be
