Course Structure: The class meets for two lectures a week, one consisting of a single 50-minute session and the other
consisting of two 50-minute sessions. Selected problems from each chapter will be posted on the course’s Moodle
website but they will neither be collected nor graded !!! Such problems serve to enhance the understanding of the
topics learned in class. Quizzes will be given during the lecture hours throughout the semester as scheduled above.
There will be one midterm exam and a final exam. All quizzes and exams will be CLOSED BOOKS CLOSED
NOTES. A formula sheet, to be posted on the Moodle system, will be provided to you in the exams. Calculators will
only be allowed for scalar algebraic and trignometric computations.

Class Policy: Students who miss any of the quizzes or exams must provide a signed medical report or a valid signed
excuse within two days of the missed quiz or examination in order to receive a makeup. Any conflict of schedule with
another class will not be accepted as an excuse.

ACADEMIC DISHONESTY IS NOT TOLERATED OR ACCEPTED in any form and will be subject to
disciplinary actions.
