 Understand vector analysis: addition, subtraction, multiplication.
 Understand coordinate systems (Cartesian, Cylindrical and spherical) and their transformations.
 Understand vector calculus, differential length, area and volume, divergence and curl.
 Understand Coulomb’s and Gauss’s laws.
 Understand properties of materials and analyze electric fileds in material space.
 Solve electrostatic boundary-value problems.
 Understand magnetostatic fields, Ampere’s law, and magnetic forces.

Homework and Quizzes


Homework will be assigned by Teaching Assistant on a regular basis, and quizzes will be given in a random basis by
both the teaching assistant and the instructor.
