Component Function
Control Grid an electrode used in amplifying thermionic valves
used to control the flow of electrons from the
cathode to the anode (plate) electrode.
Heater It is a
filament of metal (usually tungsten, which is the same
material used in
everyday household light bulb filaments). This filament
heats up a cathode,
which results in a production of electrons.

Cathode cathode is a grounded metal plate that is super-

heated so that electrons are literally jumping off the
surface
Electron beam Carrying electron that emits from cathode to fluorescrnt
screen
Anode To accelerate electron beam to the fluorescent screen
Focusing coil producing a magnetic focus field in said neck of said
cathode ray tube that focuses said beam at said beam
landing locations as said beam landing location
Deflecting coils r creating a rapidly changing powerful magnetic field,
which deflects the beam of electrons to establish a raster
on the screen. The coil consists of copper windings shaped
to fit around the electron gun assembly.
Fluorescent Screen  to display where the electrons are hitting theCR
