1. Is the father who got convicted and executed morally responsible for the death of the little
girl? Why? Why not?

No, the father is not morally responsible for the death of the little girl. First of all, the
father do not have the ability and intention to kill the girl, the truth is, the consequence is
unexpected, it was constrained by threats in the environment and would be considered as
self-cause accident. The father didn't do anything to harm the child; instead he tried to
survive the life of the girl through CPR. However, in the movie, there's no someone in the
place when the accident occurred, it just happened that a lady saw the father doing the CPR
and he was misjudged and the people came to conclusion very fast that he raped and killed
the little girl. The father is innocent, it's just that he is not mentally stable to prove his
innocence.

2. Did he deserve to be executed? Why? Why not?

The father didn't deserve to be executed. First of all, it was a false accusation. The
father have disability, mentally challenged to be specific. Because of it, he can't prove his self
properly that he was innocent from the death of the child. There is no further investigations
done in the case, so he was convicted and executed which is unfair and not right to the
accused.

3. What are the moral values that you learned from the movie? Give a short description (a
scenario from the movie) manifesting the said values.

First moral value that I learned is the overriding love and concern that parents feel for
their child; as well as the love of a child to their parents. It was shown in the movie that their
relationship is very close to each other. The father is working hard even if he was mentally
and financially challenged just to buy the needs and wants of her daughter, specifically the
sailormoon bag that he was earning for. The girl also shows unconditional love to her father,
when her father is imprisoned she wants to stay with her father and even convinced the chief
to arrest her too. Not only that, the girl pursue to become a lawyer to fight for justice for her
father who got executed even if he was innocent.

Second would be fairness and justice. A quote “do not judge a book by it's cover” is
the best to describe this moral value. The father was accused and convicted easily because of
his disability; who have mental difficulties. He got no time and chance to explain well what
really happened before accusing him. What's worst is that he got executed without any
further investigations until accusations were proven. Moreover, the father of the girl who
died is one of the highest ranking officer. This indicates that in life when a person is rich and

have a high position, he can manipulate the low-class members of the society just like the
situation in the movie. These should be stop and fairness would prevail.
