not.

integrity. Be Truthful and Accurate to what you Educate to the Patient.
 Confidentiality
As a Nurse, You should Keep, Protect, and Undisclosed all the private
Datas and Information of the patient unless the patient permits. As you are
Educating the patient, The patient might ask questions that are
appropriate but very personal. Hence, You should Keep it Confidential.

understand.
 Insufficient time
Insufficient time could be a factor. A patient can not just make a decision
last minute. Inform the Patient Before-hand so the patient would have time
to make a decision.

Culture/traditions Differs from people to people. Respect your patient’s
Decision even if the decision the patient made is based on the patient’s
Culture/traditions
 Educational status
Educational status Could affect the obtaining informed consents from the
patient. Illiterate patient would probably have a hard time understanding
the situation and giving information since that patient does not have any
idea what is going on.
 Decision-Making Capacity
Decision-Making Capacity could be a factor especially if the patient is
indecisive. Give your Patient some time to decide and Give your patient
Reassurance regrading to the Consent.
