Nature and Purpose of Application Letter
The term "application letter" a document which main purpose is to describe your skills, market your abilities and
summarizes your experiences.
Application letter serves as your formal introduction with your potential employer. It contains your background,
summarizes your knowledge and experiences and includes a few more details as to why you are qualified for the
job More importantly, your application letter expresses your intent to apply for a specific job within an

Types of Business Application Letter
1. Full block Style-characterized by the fact that every line starts at the left margin. None of. the
lines of type are centered, or on the right.
2. Indented Style- The first word is inserted into each paragraph and the destination is on the left
