For me, the two things that enhance the quality of human life are a posteriori and explicit. This is
because, nowadays, I notice the spread of false information or knowledge that not everyone notices,
and what is happening is passed on to others without any basis, and what is worse is that they still
believe it. Since we are students, we should be able to see if knowledge is beneficial or not, just like
what the famous philosopher Plato said, "Justified True Belief," where knowledge is something you can
justify. When social media serve a topic or theme based on what we have seen, most of us assume it is
right or in our favor, no longer investigate it, and usually agree with it. With this type of knowledge, we
have accountability because the information we spread may be wrong and we may even harm others.
The a posteriori is that you went through the process, or if someone went through that, you finished
school or some event that you went through. In life, we have to listen to people who have credibility and
should be listened to because knowledge is one of the most important things in our lives because our
behavior depends on it. Right now, I realized that when it comes to matters on social media, I don't see
people who know deeply and have knowledge getting involved, simply because they conduct research
and they know how to react to particular issues or matters, and that is what we call mindset. I noticed
that young people are the victims of this system that spreads false information and spreads it. So in life,
knowledge is more important than anything. The second one is explicit, which means the knowledge is
recorded and easy to convey. In terms of other social media platforms, the best knowledge that we
should get is from books because those are more reliable sources than videos on TikTok, Facebook, and
YouTube. When I watched the pre-recorded video about theories of knowledge by Professor Jeremiah
Pacer, I learned a lot of things that are very important in our lives. Just like I said, a lot of things are
being served on social media and it's like this: when you taste or hear about it, you know it, but the truth
is you don't. For example, you know marinated chicken but you don't know the details of how it is made.
Same thing on social media. Some things are thrown at us or served to us ideas, themes, and topics in
what we watch, but when we analyze our knowledge, we don't know anything. It is said that everything
must be proven. If you are good at something, prove it. A person's genius or knowledge of something or
what he has completed or what he has learned will appear and appear even if he does not show it to
others because it can be seen based on his movements, thoughts, and speech, which in our life today is
necessary.
