The Ups and Down of the Business;


An aspiring architect, Sia dropped out of college to set up barbeque chicken
restaurant chain Mang Inasal, which he sold to Jollibee in 2012. He faced with so
many challenges. The suppliers were turning him down because [Sia] was young and
has no track record.” Sia then tirelessly went around his community in Iloilo and
sealed supplier “deals,” some of them forged in wet markets, others through
cooperative. At 26 years of age in 2003, he started from scratch the fast-food chain
Mang Inasal and grew it from a humble branch in Iloilo City to 338 branches
nationwide within the first seven years of operations. Because of his careful planning,
clear visions, thorough business design, and passionate execution, Mang Inasal today
continues to grow. Mang Inasal remains to be one of the largest and most loved fast-
food chains in the country with over 450 stores nationwide and generates over p12
Billion Pesos in system-wide sales revenue and also consistently showing double-dig.

His discovery skill helped him connect dots and things differently. His innovation skill
helped him recombine existing industry variables. His through preparation gave him
courage to execute his plan swiftly, and his inspiring and soft-spoken ways influenced
others to help attain goals.

The ups and down of the business:


Howard rejected him about the idea he experience in Italy, about that he quit
Starbucks and went to create his own coffee company but he had no money to fund a
company. Many people rejected him to invest money, but eventually enough people
believed in his vision and decided to invest in his business. He worked extremely hard
to open his first coffee shop where he could replicate the experience he had in Italy
and finally implement his ideas. When Starbucks experienced bankrupt, Howard get
the opportunity to buy the Starbucks and became the CEO, he rebranded his
company with the Starbucks name and expanded across the U.S. Today, Starbucks
has more than 30,000 stores around the world and market value over $100B.
