The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of
meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004

The line chart illustrates how

much fish and some kinds of
meat on average was ( were )
consumed by a person in a
week in a European country
between 1979 and 2004.

In general, despite some

fluctuations, there was a
decline in the consumption of
beef, lamb, and fish, while an
increase can be seen in
chicken consumption. In
addition, fish was eaten at
least among four categories. (
chỗ này có thể nói thêm là chicken overtook beef và trở thành món popular nhất, )

In 1979, about 215 grams of beef was consumed a week by a person per person (em dùng
by a person thì nghĩa nó là ăn bởi 1 người nhé); after that, it underwent some fluctuations
during the period (nên nói là in the first 10 years in the period shown) before ending at just
above 100 grams per week. A similar change was also witnessed in fish, but to a much
lesser extent, which slightly decreased from roughly 60 units ( grams) in 1979 to just under
50 units ( grams ) in the last year of the period examined.

In terms of chicken and lamb, these two kinds of meat displayed a reverse trend. In 1979,
150 grams of lamb was eaten by a person per week, after which it saw a drastic reduction
before ending at about 75 grams 25 years later. By contrast, chicken showed a rise from
about 140 grams to approximately 250 grams in 2004, ranking the first position among 4
categories.
