Admix F1000

High performance concrete superplasticiser admixture

Description
Admix F1000 is a superplasticiser admixture based on selected sulphonated naphthalene polymers.
It is effective for the production of free flowing concrete or as a substantial water reducing agent for
promoting high early and ultimate strength.

Advantages
• Chloride-free, safe for use in prestressed and reinforced concrete.
• Enables production of high density, less permeable concrete.
• Enables high strength, high workability concrete to be produced at normal cement contents.
• Can be used to produce virtually self-compacting, flowing concrete which requires little vibration.
• High reduction in water: cement ratio provides high early strength concrete.
• Improved cohesion and particle dispersion minimizes segregation and bleeding and improves pump ability.
• Compatible with other Plastmix & Admix admixtures.

Uses
Admix F1000 is ideal for the following:
• To provide excellent acceleration of strength gain at early ages.
• To be used for pre-cast concrete.
• To improve the workability of site mixed concrete without increasing water demand.
• To provide improved durability by increasing ultimate strengths and reducing concrete
permeability.

Admix F1000 is used in the production of free flowing concrete such as:
• Walls, columns & piers.
• Slabs & foundations.
• Shotcrete concrete.
• Precast concrete elements.
• Prestressed concrete.
• Areas of concrete where formwork must be removed quickly or early loading applied.

Package & Dosage

Admix F1000 is supplied in 20 & 210 liter drums.

The dosage of Admix F1000 is:

For high workability concrete the range is (0.7 - 1.3) litre/100 Kg of Portland cement.
For high strength high water reduced concrete the range is (1.3 - 2.0) litre/100 Kg of Portland cement.
It is recommended to carry out actual trial mixes at site to establish the exact dosage rate required.
Admix F1000 should be added during the mixing cycle at the same time with water (preferably we add it to
the second half quantity of water) prior to its addition to dry mix.
An overdose may cause retardation increase. Provided that adequate curing is maintained, the ultimate
strength of the concrete will not be impaired by increased retardation. The effects of overdosing will be
further increased if sulphate resisting cement or cement replacement materials are used.

Storage & shelf life

Admix F1000 has a shelf life of 12 month if stored in normal temperature and closed shaded dry area in
undamaged original packing.
