Plastmix G

Superplasticising retarding concrete admixture

Description

Plastmix G is a Superplasticising workability retention admixture based on selected organic

polymers.
It disperses the fine particles in the concrete mix, enabling the water content of the concrete to
perform more effectively.

Advantages
• Significantly improves the workability therefore easing placing.
• Chloride-free, safe for use with reinforced concrete.
• Increases working time of fresh concrete.
• Reduces concrete segregation and bleeding.
• Improves cohesion and surface finish.
• Allows water reduction whilst maintaining workability, thereby increasing strength, durability and
impermeability.
• Long-lasting control of slump loss.
• Reduces shrinkage and creep.
• Compatible with other Plastmix & Admix admixtures.

Uses

Plastmix G is ideal to:

• Produce high workability concrete.
• Produce high quality and watertight concrete.
• Retain workability during hot weather and in delays of transportation.

Standards & Specifications

Plastmix G complies with ASTM C-494 Type G, BS 5075 Part 3.

Package & Dosage

Plastmix G is supplied in 25 & 210 Liter drums.

The dosage of Plastmix G is in the range of:
• ( 0.5-1.5) Litre/100 Kg of cement depends on workability and water reduction Required

It is recommended to carry out actual trial mixes at site to establish the exact dosage rate required.
Plastmix G should be added during the mixing cycle at the same time with water prior to its addition to dry
mix (preferably to divide the amount of water to two parts and add it to the second part before mix).
An overdose may cause retardation increase. Provided that adequate curing is maintained, the ultimate
strength of the concrete will not be impaired by increased retardation. The effects of overdosing will be
further increased if sulphate resisting cement or cement replacement materials are used.

Storage & shelf life

Plastmix G has a shelf life of 12 month if stored in normal temperature and closed shaded dry area in
undamaged original packing.
