WEEKLY STAFF MEMO

November 19, 2021

We do have a new Kindergarten teacher!!! Meredith Dewey will begin on Monday, November
29! I know you will all give her a wonderful QCA welcome! I cannot thank Denise Medeiros
enough for taking over and making sure those Kindergarten children did not miss a beat!!! I
went in her classroom this morning with soft music playing and the kids quietly working at
their desks… amazing! Of course, the work they have been producing is incredible too! Thank
you, Denise and welcome, Meredith!!!!

Please have report cards to me (or just let me know I can access them) by 2:30 on Monday, the
29th so they can be looked at and passed out on Wednesday, the 1st.
If you recall, we decided that Parent Conferences would be virtual. They are scheduled for
Thursday, December 2 in the evening and Friday, December 3 in the afternoon. It seemed like
most would prefer to connect from home, but that is entirely up to you…home or school,
whatever works! Please feel free to adjust your conference times for yourselves… to get home
if need be. For example, if you want to start on Thursday earlier than 6:00, that’s fine. If you
want to wait to schedule on Friday until 1:00-1:30 so you can get home, that’s fine! I will be
putting a note in this week’s Parent Weekly Communication explaining what we are doing and
will tell them that each teacher will be in touch.
The only thing I ask is that all parents are able to connect with you!

Our Thanksgiving prayer service will be at 1:30 on Tuesday, November 23. ALL are welcome!

I will be attending an all-day Advent retreat for Principals at the Catholic Schools Office on
Monday, November 29 so I will not be in school.

The First Sunday of Advent is November 28 so we will be beginning our Advent Candle lighting
every week. I am going to do it at 8:30 a.m. in the mornings in the gym, but it will not always
be on Mondays (the same class always missed out on a special). The schedule will be:
First Week of Advent: Tuesday, November 30
Second Week of Advent: Wednesday, December 1
Third Week of Advent: Monday, December 6
Fourth Week of Advent: Thursday, December 16
ALL students and staff should attend.
FYI… the clocks need to be looked at by an electrician and he will be here as soon as possible. I
know many were working and now are not… we think one of the last two hooked up shorted
something out! So sorry!

STUDENT WORK SCHEDULE THIS WEEK: NONE THIS WEEK… SHORT WEEK!!!
1st week of month: Preschool – K-1
2nd week of month: Grade K-Grade 2
3rd week of month: Grades 3-5
4th week of month: Middle School
