Everyone has a personal
responsibility to practice
physical distancing, frequent
handwashing, cough/sneeze
etiquette, proper tissue usage
and disposal, avoidance of
touching their face, adhering to
quarantine/isolation protocols,
and respecting others.

What are the reminders or
safety protocols that you
heard/hear in your
barangay?
Get vaccinated as soon as it’s your
turn
Keep a distance of at least 1 metre
from others
Open windows when possible
Wear a mask
Clean hands
Cover coughs and sneezes
Stay home when sick
What do the officials of your
barangay use to inform their
constituents about these
safety protocols?
They use several ways to
communicate and spread awareness
to people. Oftentimes they use radios
to broadcast certain topics like these
safety protocols I have mentioned.
Mostly, they use flyers and posters to
inform their residents about important
matters concerning our health
especially in this time of pandemic. 3

Compare those safety
reminders to what you heard
from the news.
Are they the same?
These safety protocols being
broadcasted around the world by the
means of television and social media
are just the exact same protocols
being informed to us by other people
like our barangay officers, leaders of
our community, the mayor of our
town, our neighbors, family and
friends.
Do you follow these safety
protocols?
How about the people in
your barangay?
It is important that we all diligently
obey and follow these safety
protocols to prevent the virus from
spreading and affecting people
including ourselves. Although not
everyone can respect and do simple
precautions that can save a thousand
lives. In our barangay, these protocols
are not even observed by the officials. 4
