Subject: Collectionof data regarding actual number of officers effected due to

promotion to the post of Inspector during the intervening period (i.e between
18.12.2013and 26.12.2016)-reg.

Please refer to the above mentioned subject.

2. The issue relates to one long pending matter of promotion to the post of Inspector under
CBIC, in the intervening period between Cadre Restructuring 2013(18.12.2013) and
notificationof RRs for Inspector post (26.12.2016).Board desires to take up the matter with
DOPTto find a feasible solution. Data of all the effected posts is important for understanding
the impact. Accordingly, Board has directed to collect data from CCAs and submit a
consolidated report to it.

3. It is therefore requested to furnish the requisite information in the prescribed

Annexures-A, B & C (copy enclosed) in Excel format to this office latest by 31.10.2022on
email ID policy.dghrd@nic.in.
