SECTION ONE: TITLE, OBJECTIVE, RESPONSIBILITIES

ANALYZING AND EVALUATING OF CHANGES IN

WORKING ENVIRONMENT IN VIETNAM AFTER THE
COVID-19 pandemic.
Prepare by: Hoang Quy

12
1. Research project
When presenting the project, it is essential to make clear that it aims to promote quick reading and
comprehension. The broad aim and the specific purpose of the project make up the project's goal.

1.1. General objective

The study will first demonstrate how workplaces in businesses and educational institutions in Vietnam might
change if Directive 16 were overturned. As a consequence of this study, I expect that businesses and educational
institutions will quickly embrace digital transformation since it is a powerful and effective tool for delivering
relevant content into the classroom, boosting productivity, and strengthening corporate management.

1.2. Specific objective

- Describe what working online entails (or working from home).

- Outline the benefits of altering the workplace and combining the online and offline modes of working.

1.3. Research question

To complete the objective research process required by detox goals, researchers must respond to the following
crucial research questions:

- What current elements have an influence on an employee's drive to perform when they choose for workplace
transformation?

- What factors affect employees' choices of whether to work in-office or online?

- What suggestions have to be made in order to achieve positive effects and equity for both on-site and virtual
staff?

13
SECTION TWO: REASON WHY CHOSING THIS TOPIC
Work is typically done at an office. A firm operates at a physical location, and workers carry out work-related
duties there. With the advancement of digital transformation, this is changing. Businesses are realizing that many
of their employees are no longer dependent on a physical workplace in order to function effectively as software
capabilities get more complicated and business processes depend more heavily on them. Instead, working
remotely or from home can be equally effective. (me, 2022)

The idea of working from home is significant nowadays. The employee's productivity is maintained or improved
while while receiving support to spend time with their family or take care of personal business. Work from Home
(WFH) may be a useful tool to allow an employee stay at home and work at the same time if they are dealing
with a health crisis for themselves or their family. During the 2020 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, Work from
Home helped a lot of businesses continue to operate effectively and maintain their relevance. The WFH option
was still used by roles in IT, management, designing, and media, among others. (Team, 2022)

Over the past two years, the Covid-19 pandemic storm has significantly affected organizations and businesses,
causing problems with financial flows as well as with global production and consumption. because of the
outbreak. Movement is restricted and divided. Teleworking becomes the ideal option for businesses,
corporations, and individuals to avoid illness, avoid freezing, and maintain business operations. It's a bad
tendency to alter oneself to match the WFH form. Remote employment has the potential to catch on as a trend
in the future, whether we like it or not.

Covid-19 has caused havoc in Vietnam's economy and the world as a whole, but it has also taught us valuable
lessons about adapting to the tremendous and unexpected changes in the country. Human race. In the face of an
epidemic with stressful development, the Vietnamese government and other countries around the world have
implemented new policies to minimize the spread and outbreak of the disease. In addition, due to social distance
guidelines set by governments around the world, many companies had to temporarily shut down and enter
difficult times when the risk of bankruptcy was imminent. During this difficult time, businesses are transforming
technology, transforming technology, digitizing, and approaching employees online to secure profits and profits
and rebuild their corporate structure in line with government epidemic prevention policies. Must be adopted.

14
However, after the outbreak, the Work From Home trend became popular and became a popular trend in
society as it is one of the most effective ways to address the post-feedback issue Covid-19.

The impact of working remotely or from home (WFH) has a significant impact on the labor market in Vietnam in
general and Cantho in particular as a result of the aforementioned problems, and this general tendency is
becoming more widely acknowledged in the global job market as Vietnam's market and governmental
regulations become more globalized. Due to the advantages it offers, WFH is essential for bridging the
Vietnamese and international markets. It is also one of the most secure and straightforward tools available to
mankind for dealing with natural calamities like epidemics, wars, and other catastrophes.

15
SECTION THREE: LITERATURE REVIEW
The technology supporting this type of remote work has progressively improved with the development of the
Internet. When a recession hits, many businesses are forced to use this kind of labor for their staff. Even if
everyone uses technology to work remotely and follows the same working methodology, the mentality of remote
work today is different from that of years ago. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the competitive management
market, more workers are looking for positions with flexible and secure working hours. This truth is turning into a
recipe for many companies as the global economy begins to recover and businesses look for ways to hire people
on a full-time basis.

Most people who work from home find this to be a challenging situation, especially after the Covid-19 epidemic
forced travel restrictions and isolation. There will undoubtedly be those on the staff who love it and people who
hate it. However, if a historic pandemic continues, this may become the norm for work. Employees gradually
increase their level of flexibility in their working style since WFH is similar to the experience of adjusting to new
circumstances. WFH can be used by businesses and enterprises to deliver efficient relief during epidemic seasons
while adhering to strict distancing laws, ensuring that people are safe throughout the epidemic season while also
adding value to the company and gaining a competitive edge over rivals who can't implement WFH.

The Covid-19 epidemic was complex and had more devastating effects than anyone could have predicted. The
recovery was slower than expected and the unemployment rate was too high. Thousands of people have lost
their jobs as businesses cut costs through layoffs and reduced wages. Meanwhile, many WFHs have switched to
an open labor market for social alienation. If you are familiar with WFH, the concept of remote work, you may be
surprised to find that remote work has several advantages.

WFH is becoming more and more important and needed. Not only is this a way to work in a fashionable era, it's
also a "new common sense" for Covid 19 post-pandemic companies. In other words, the working hours of
employees are flexible. Be more proactive, avoid road accidents, reduce travel costs and support your
organization with "cost optimization". This can be described as a new “direction” for the organization in terms of
business continuity, work efficiency and employee well-being.

16
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, WFH is the "new normal" for businesses and organizations, not only a way to
operate during an outbreak. This may represent a new way for companies to maintain efficient operations, boost
worker productivity, and offer benefits and good health to their employees.

WFH is a recent trend that has emerged in both Vietnam and the US. In order to acquire a competitive edge in
the market, to attract and keep talent, and to create value for the business and its employees, several firms have
aggressively followed this trend.

The aforementioned illustrations demonstrate that WFH is one of mankind's universal trends in the present and
the future with the aim of avoiding and preventing diseases. Additionally, WFH offers its workers a stress-free
atmosphere by letting them work from home or in the office. WFH also assists businesses in reducing costs
associated with transportation, power, and water usage, among other things. WFH contributes to environmental
preservation as well. In the post-Covid-19 era, working on duty, or WFH, is one of the most effective and
optimum working practices. It is also one of the most well-liked.

SECTION FIVE: RESEARCH APPROACH AND METHODOLOGIES
This study presents a practical example of the use of remote work tools (or WFH) in Vietnam in the post-Covid-19
era. The sample size of the project is 100 randomly selected people. The questionnaire contains five multiple-
choice questions and two opinion questions. The survey will be conducted online from May 20th to July 9th,
2022. We used Google Forms to collect survey data. Easy to use on your phone or computer, it takes about 10
minutes.

To collect the data, the researchers copied the link from a Google Form and sent it to participants via email or
messenger. The main goal of this study was to explore the future potential of the teleworking (WFH) model.
Therefore, the mixed research approach of this project is the best option (using both quantitative and qualitative
methods). Improving research capabilities, the ability to investigate problems from different angles, the use of
different methods to help focus on a single process, the accuracy of data validation, and all available research
using this method. Do not escape us based on the data of, all the advantages of this strategy.

1. Data collecting method

The descriptive and conceptual information gathered through surveys, interviews, or observation is referred to as
qualitative data. We may investigate concepts and further explain quantitative outcomes by analyzing qualitative
data. Quantitative data gathering collects numerical information (what, where, when), whereas qualitative data
collection gathers patient and family tales and experiences and is frequently presented as a narrative (why, how)
(Ivan, 2022). The definition of qualitative data is information that approximates and characterizes. It is possible to
notice and document qualitative data. The nature of this data type is not numerical. Focus groups, one-on-one
interviews, observations, and other similar techniques are used to gather this kind of data. Data that may be
categorized based on the characteristics and traits of an object or phenomena is referred to as qualitative data in
statistics. (QuestionPro, 2022)

2. Data analysis method

Methods that describe the characteristics of the variables under study are those that are utilized in descriptive
research. Instead of focusing on the "why" of the study topic, this method addresses questions concerning the
"what" of it. Descriptive research simply describes the traits of the demographics being studied rather than
concentrating on the "why." (Voxco.com, n.d)

20
A collection of statistical procedures known as regression analysis is used to assess the associations between a
dependent variable and one or more independent variables. It may be applied to determine the degree of a
relationship between variables and predict how they will interact in the future. There are three categories of
regression analysis: linear, multiple linear, and nonlinear. Simple linear and multiple linear models are the most
prevalent types of models. Nonlinear regression analysis is typically employed for more complicated data sets
with nonlinear relationships between the dependent and independent variables. Regression analysis has many
uses in many different fields, including finance. (CFI, 2022)
