I. Warm up
T: Today we are going to speak about food and cooking.
What do you eat every day?
What do you like to eat?
What do you dislike to eat?
Who cooks in your family?
Do you help your mum to cook?
What do you do?

II. Vocabulary
1. Grouping
Each of you has a card. Stand up & find your partner .Match the words & the pictures.
2. Team work Spelling quiz
One representative comes to the teacher, who whispers the spelling of the words; the
students come back to the groups and dictate the words to write down. In the end the
posters of each group are compared and the mistakes are discussed.
3. Happy meals
Walk around the classroom and choose: group 1 – healthy food, group 2 – unhealthy food.
Then stick the food to the smiles.
III. Speaking
a) Look at the smile words and say what we should and shouldn’t eat to be healthy.

Pair-work b) Look at the handouts and make up micro-dialogues about healthy way of life.

IV. Grammar. Countable/ Uncountable nouns.


Tell me how we call the nouns we can/ cannot count. But we can make uncountable nouns
countable. What words help us to do it? So, the task is:
